I picked up issue three a week ago and holy shit, absolute Batman is peak. There’s no “woke” messaging or any like massive left message in it. Only thing that it might criticize is capatalism. The writting is fantastic and the way the show the characters is wonderful

This is how I feel about Catwoman. They don't wanna give us Catwoman series and films.

If I'm being honest, one criticism is the cinematography. It looks a little saturated. I wish the vibrant aesthetic of the film shined a bit more. But other than that, I'm super stoked about this film. I hope it sours high. 👌

I was excited but the trailer didn't hype me, I know the movie is gonna be great tho, gunn doesn't miss, I think like any superhero movie there will just be minor nitpicks that are wrong, which is only just people's preferences. its literally exactly like the situation that surrounded the release of "the batman", decent director with a great track record of films, gunn and matt reeves, a reboot of a character with a new actor and a new take on the suit an tone. And it will end the same way, the movie will be great, there will just always be those who take issue with it, like mos, like the batman and now SUPERMAN

Peak superman. A superman who fights comic book monsters and makes it a point to help people while being a nice guy. I need them to show that superman and lois type of supes.

I was unsure when I saw some set photos. But this trailer has made me more hopeful.

I'm really hoping we can stop using the "I think there might be too many characters" critique when this film comes out, ESPECIALLY when the film in question is a James Gunn film... If there's anything his films has showed us overtime, it's that you can have AS MANY CHARACTERS in a film as you want, as long as they feel grounded & real enough to where you can feel just a LITTLE bit of sympathy for them, then NOBODY should care... If there's anyone who can make a movie with THIS many characters & still have them feel fleshed out enough to feel like real humans, it's Gunn

Might just be the movie I am most hyped for next year. It looks like something straight out of a comic book as these movies should have been from the start.

Maybe I'm alone, but I almost feel just...done with live action superhero movies? I've been burned so often by DC and Marvel with their multiverse/zero stakes approach that even a good trailer like this does nothing for me anymore. I hope it's good, but I'd probably feel a lot more enthused were it animated.

Absolute Batman is Fast and Furious / Michael Bay action. It's Dark Knight Returns action. Things don't have to make sense. Just enjoy the action. The story is bad but it's good bad. I really wanna know "what's gonna happen next!" . Without his Wealth, Bruce is a Gary Stu but IDGAF. I dig the action.
