Max Mileage Fuel Borne Catalyst from Pittsburgh Power
One gauge per cylinder on stationary diesels is mandatory on large applications to closely monitor efficiency & abnormalities in/of individual cylinders components.
I melted down a 444xt Cummins in 97. Why called 3 hours at maximum fuel and speed trying to get home for a major medical issue involving a family member. She didn't like 1300 degree EGTs and melted cylinder 2 blew a hole in 4 swallowed an intake in 5 but kept on running. She sounded like a bucket of bolts were in the crankcase at the end. Boss overhauled her into a 850 hp at the ground 1k crank monster.
Gotta do what you gotta do when it comes to family. I’m glad it took you the whole way.
Must have been a sight to see during the rebuild!
What is max pyrometer temp on a n14
About 1000 to 1300 degrees is what it can handle. Anymore and you’re pushing.
How the hell do you burn a steel piston? Either injection?
Lots of fuel, lots of heat, for a lot of time!
Inadequate cooling
@@1SweetPete an a whole bunch of other things if they happen to go wrong at the right time.
how hot is to hot c15 post turbo?
1000 degrees is a safe number for the C15.
@pittsburghpowerinc.5948 thanks for the info 👍
The quarry I work has a Cat 769D that has a 3408. Sounds really good. It also rarely has any power train issues, most of the times the machine it’s never the motor
Ke poder tiene ese aparato💪👍
There's no wind resistance on a Dyno so of course fuel economy will go up.
N14 and Series 60 are the best on road diesels ever made.
WD 40 provide same results.
Delete it and be done
And they don’t make it anymore
Testing showed that the amount of soot caught by Dorothy users using our Max Mileage additive was fractional. That's why it was discontinued.
@@pittsburghpowerinc.5948 and they still don’t make it anymore. Actually that statement really didn’t need an answer.
I have a 2019 glider that’s my first and last truck. I will not give in to to these emissions
What’s the annual subscription price?
As of right now the annual l subscription price is $600. Unfortunately Our summer sale just ended where the annual subscription price was reduced to $420.

Very nice.
If you don't go to Pittsburgh Power you're rolling the dice.

Lmao the driver never had to add def, and no red flags
@@billyadams9985 not the craziest story we have had.
I love hearing you guys on Kevins show. Makes the miles go bye faster!
@@jessecondit2211 great to hear! Call in some time!
Hey thanks, which guy are you? Or are you a shop tech? Trying to put face with the voice. Thanks Jesse
@@jessecondit2211 I am not one of the radio hosts. My name is Jay. I started as a Tech about six years ago and am now the marketing Manager.
Thanks Jay, I'm a 41 year driver and my brother works at Turbo Resource in LHC AZ. I told him about the show and he said I know Bruce! Cool stuff!
China loves the EPA putting a choke hold on manufacturing and transportation
throw that junk away..
The epa may not like my methods, but I can dissolve those deposits for a lot less, allegedly.
Sounds like shit.
That's sooooo expensive
@@kizerbread they like to charge for those government mandated pieces of equipment.
Heck yeah!
That Pittsburgh Power shirt is sick. Why doesn't Bruce sell them on the website? With an autograph of course. Love the Power hour show!!!!
This shirt is available along with a whole bunch of other merch. Check out the link. - pittsburghpower.com/collections/merch Reply
I didn't know you guys had shorts on TH-cam, very well done. I listen every Tuesday.
Putting a lot more emphasis on them now due to their popularity. You guys keep watching and I will definitely keep making them. Thank you for following!
@pittsburghpowerinc.5948 Do more short and long on the pan head bus project, people love that stuff.
That truck ain’t no joke. Much respect 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
That crosshatch is absolutely nasty, like if you ask a random guy make it with sandpaper, after all these i went through building engines it's probably the third time i've seen a hone i will instantly reject just by looking at it, imagine the measurements. I hope it's not factory.
Good video.....an added benefit: if the turbine shaft breaks you can fill the charge air cooler with oil and get the engine to run away! Yes, clean out the piping and the CAC!
Great point!
Should've got a Holset 😉🤭
Kind of was...
@@pittsburghpowerinc.5948 kind of? Taking my fun out of it lol
I love turbo power but damn does it add a lot more stuff to mess up and lag 😢
Yeah straight 6 #6 will always see the most wear. Diesel engines last a million miles and then you rebuild. No big deal.
Definitely did not hit a million here though.
Why will cylinder 6 get the most wear?
Go electric, no issues with Oil loss anymore
I’d deal with the oil loss 😂😂
Would rather walk where i have to go then drive an ev
@@rj_sadboi6199 much better for the rest of the planet and your overall health.
@@DanielSites drinking may held to deal best with it
Lots of charging, though.
I should look into it. I run Standyne fuel additive. Then toss in Hows for the winter. I just have an antique hobby truck though. Not a commercial operated rig.
I love the stuff. I run it in gasoline engines. Cars, pickup, jeep, boat, lawnmower, chainsaw, and my dad's 1948 ford 8N tractor runs like a sewing machine on the stuff. I love the show I could listen to Bruce and Kevin talk all day. Funny thing im not even a truck driver. Keep up the good work guys!!!
Thank you for your business! were very happy that you're getting such great results.
Lies take money I mean what makes you an expert
@user-pr6pq4mz8x Absolutely nothing. I refer to information given to me by a doctor of chemistry named Jane Gates.
N14
Why so much smoke, Can the smoke be stopped? What I understand of a diesel engine smoke is un burned fuel and waited money?
Can't wait ti mmi hear it run!
We can either!
Trucker hats, Big Hair and Mullets I remember those days👍
Classic
Nice! What's a pancake motor?
This one is a Cummins - Big Cam III, which lays flat in the bus instead of vertically. Hence, "Pancake" we will be making more videos showing how it runs once we get its engine stand built.
@pittsburghpowerinc.5948 that's crazy it lays flat. Must have special oiling system
Essentially, it is the same engine, but it has an angled oil pan (which is fairly difficult to get hold of).
Whenever, we used to say when.
Eh!! I'm sure people understand.
Bring on the big cam content lol
Very doable.
Love the show!!
oh brother i can not imagine doing 50ft, i hate messing with cables/wires
Get better edit staff
I work with the bare minimum. Don't have the MCU budget here. Lol
You might not like my solution but if it's your RV and you just got to get it done nothing beats line of sight underneath the RV and then a little bit of corrugated cable shielding😂
