Tornado damage of spring 2023
มุมมอง 75ปีที่แล้ว
We were blessed to not have been directly hit by this tornado, like many in our community. But nonetheless here is a bit of footage from the damage we did receive. I’ve been filming projects steadily since April but I have not made the time to edit anything. Planning to start posting videos again very soon.

Did it freeze?
the length of your runs isnt the issue, your run length is good, your spacing between the lines is too far apart is the issue. 18" is way too far apart.
How far apart should I go between the lines? I’m putting up a smaller garage beside this one before winter and I plan to put heat in the floor in it as well.
@@9to5redneck89 12" is standard, depending on your heating needs, some people go as little as 6". A larger pipe size like 5/8 instead of 1/2" would help greatly too, but 1/2" is standard. Where are you located?
You always inspire me to try bushcrafting myself
Nice try. Is it mild steel or 409 stainless?
Mild steel
great job builder!
Just viewed your video and subscibed! Great job! I have a 2000 STX 900 and mine might becoming a dog out of the hole like you mentioned. I want to look at my impeller/pump. How did your fix work out? Does it run better now or what? Thanks!
It runs so much better now. Jumps up right on plane like it’s supposed to.
Nice building. Quite a project for one person to undertake. The end result though, looks great!
What size
35’s
How to u remove ones that are splined tho
I am looking at the same welder for the same exact issue on marketplace right now, guy doesnt have a clue but its listed reasonably cheap. What was the issue? Thanks.
I just had my circuit board repaired. The one that changes the welding modes.
Good job loading it😂
Putain que tu es lent 😅
Could it be the brushes inside of it ? I had a 302 and my brushes went out and it didn’t strike an arc
smooth quiet power-band
Quite talking an get the job done
You make me tired watching you go up and down the ladder, good job young fella.
I saw a rebuild of t300 final drive on a site called howididit. Very comprehensive, look it up
Were you able to diagnose?
Where’s the part about “How to load a skid steer that won’t move” like your title says?
That ain’t no hudson hornet
Boring, nothing but talk. No working.
Nice👍
😂😂😂
Assuming you owned the containers, and allowed nothing for that cost. Also assuming the trusses were a gift and also not included in the cost. Did you pour the concrete on the mud, or did you buy gravel for a base? The same old story, figures dont lie, but liars can figure.
I’ll go over the list of expenditures I had. Poured the concrete over sand, 2” foam board & plastic. Most of my purchases were marketplace finds. Gotta be resourceful if you’re working with limited funds.
Will try to get a video out soon talking about everything I bought for it.
Right idea wrong materials!! Steel trusses overhead would been a lot cheaper and a fraction of labor!! Not to mention a lot quicker build. Could have used a heck of alot less material. But none of my business, I just use what I know works for the cost and durability…
to be definitively efficient against rust , you should put grease everywhere. grease is the only thing very efficient against rust. put grease between metal and carpet, inside door, behind metallic bumper, under the vehicle, behind the repairs you can make (everywhere inside the body - hidden erea - instead of using paint), hollow areas (necessarily hidden, so no need to be aesthetic). For rear wings unreachable with a paintbrush, use an extender and pour old oil everywhere each year. Rust almost always comes from the inside and welds. Handyman Experience - 35 years. From france
That was so helpful..🤣
What did it end up being, I was wandering if it was possibly your pump on that side that was weak or linkage adjustment?.... my t300 is foot control, one side does weird stuff sometimes, has good power ,but sometimes when turning hard to one side it will kinda cut out ,I've been babying the thing.. anyway just curious man
I just watched video of building garage so i wanted to see how shop is working out.
I plan on using 2 40' containers. I have a quanset hut building i think i can have a 32' span between containers.
That is exactly how far the distance between my containers is. Worked well for me.
Probably one of the roughest cold starts I’ve seen she still purrs though
Can you do a full tour of it done?
Yes hopefully this winter.
I think you did great job . I did mine with fibreglass. 2011 Ram
Thank you.
I don’t think that’s birds 🤣🤣 got me with the bird nest hood 🤣
It’s full of straw and feathers. Definitely not a mouse nest.
Polar or portage and main.
I just finished building one from scratch. Will update with a video hopefully soon.
Yep, i tell you whatttt!
How much for that visor? I’ll pay shipping also
That’s the best part about the truck. Lol. Don’t really want to sell it. Planning to drive this truck again this winter. If I don’t, and I part it out, I can let you know. What’s your phone number?
Where do you purchase the new wear ring?
I bought mine off of eBay.
Kawi performance have some great replacement kits for this.
Would you do it again? I'm just trying to figure out if my 2012 Ram is worth it. Same rust issue on the rockers and cab corners.
I would if I had to. It turned out well and it made the truck a lot more desirable.
Those are good engines.
For sure.
Awwwhhhh definitely a sad day... the old Ford trucks are beasts😊
Yes they are!
I’d pay for you to do it to my 2010 lol
You wouldn’t want to pay my fee though. Lol.
Did you ever get an answer to the problem?
I hauled it three hours away to a welder repair shop and they quoted me way too much to fix it. So I sold it as is. The guy I sold it to found a bad part on one of the computer boards in it.
Mine is doing the exact same thing. Do you know the part that was bad?
How much did the containers run ya?
Traded a gooseneck deck over trailer for one and got the other one delivered for a couple grand.
I really wish these trucks were offered from the factory like this I have a 3rd Gen mega cab as well and it’s a really nice truck I really like the space in the back plus being able to put subwoofers behind the seat, but it sucks that you can’t get the long bed with it☹️
Agreed.
you seem to be knowledgeable on parts and their prices do u know if the rear taillight covers that truck has (i also have them) are worth any thing? i can’t find anything on them.
I’m not sure of their value. I’ve tried selling them, taillights included, on marketplace for $50 with no bites. So I can’t imagine they’re worth much. Wait about 10 years and they will be.
@@9to5redneck89 ahhh ok i was just wondering cause i never really see em
that crew cab obs ford at 1:04 ... is that a testarosa body kit? .. and is it for sale??
Fontaine. It could be.
What’s your phone number?
I looked at it more last night. It’s called a Fontana package. Not sure if that’s in relation to the body kit or the interior.
Glass fuse on the inside
I was not able to find one. Wish I had found it. I dropped it off at a repair shop yesterday. Should hear from them in 5-6 weeks.
@@9to5redneck89 5 -6 weeks jesus that’s a long time
You have very valid points about having your heart in the build, and feeling that the labor to do it to that truck won’t be worth it in the long run. I’ve only got two project trucks and I’m a little overwhelmed as well
Yep. I’ve wanted to build it so bad into what I want but in the end I still won’t be happy with the result because it’s still a common rail diesel. I like my mechanical injected 5.9’s so much more.
I'm glad you're doing what you gotta do to get these trucks right again. Good ole American diesel
