I came from gamma, and I was supper disappointed with how many features and mechanics there were, that could definitely because I’ve only played gamma and that added a lot but I hoped the devs would’ve taken inspiration from it.

BG3 will end up being a classic game. Those that you'll play in years and still think "DAMN IS AMAZING", Dragon Age 4 didnt have to compete with BG3, they just had to compete with DA3 (a game i personally loved), and they couldnt even compete with their "worse" Dragon age, the 2nd (which i think is good)

I haven't played really since Diablo 2. I got through act 1 of Diablo 3 but remember nothing about it. I vaguely remember them announcing 4, but didn't really give it a single thought.

Problem with hackers is when they run into mechanical people who dont use a lot of tech. If you wanted to be me at my job, you'd have to fool the other 3 people I work with, and that would mean shaving your head. If you wanna hack into the system at my house youd have to somehow get into my house physically, which wouldnt end well for you. Hackers in cities make sense, hackers out in the boonies are useless.

I remember having a roller coaster experience with the writing. First few hours it was bad to meh. Then it got a little better. Then it got worse again. Then it kinda just leveled out at meh. I was at 24 hours, haven't played in a few weeks. Will get back to it eventually cus combat is fun at least and I've already bought it so why not?

You can't compare Dragon Age to Baldurs Gate! They're nothing alike and not connected in any way at all! You're talking about Dragon Age as if it was like a successor to Baldurs Gate, made by the same Developers! Which is just... Cope bruh. Cope...

Prime example of story beeing badly told is Ark Survival Evolved. Probably the worst story telling I've ever seen in games. The story there is told through small hidden pickups in a large open world map. by default you miss at least 60% of it, but then they are actually fixed and segmented and multi-threaded - so you don't find the segments in order, but random segments of random threads.. What you end up with is some parts of some disjointed story with no context.. If it wouldn't have been the work of the Noodle man, I wouldn't know anything of it at all.. I do my best not to promote violance, but whoever thought that's a good way to tell a story should at least be forced to sit in uncomfortable chairs for the rest of their lives.. Regarding D4 - I think the biggest issue is (besides what you said about the lame writing and unlikable characters) is that they shfted your role as the player from being the HERO to the role of n+1th sidekick.. In D3, you were the nephelem, superhero mix of angels and demons, stronger then both, saving the world, but "will he be our doom?" at the end.. Here you are not even THE hero, since other a-holes pop in and out like in an MMO.. Forced multiplayer was the WORST decision they made with D4.. The story is not your story anymore.. Blizzard doesn't even understands what made the other Diablo games good anymore.. The people who could make good diablo games already left that company decades ago..

Mine Laptop 4060 and i5-12450H with 16gb RAM running well this game. Medium preset 80-90-100 fps, but at Zalissya it's down to 55-60 fps.

I’m absolutely knee deep immersed in this game. Currently in swamps but advised to get a psi resistant suit before doing the next step in main mission , so I’m off to go search for that now. Im running the special version of AS livania (can’t remember the name) and a saiga shotty. 40hours in 🫡
