ok if u want to know what to do in this game it's basically this: -explore the map for resources -after exploring a significant portion of the map make a base somewhere in a good spot -be proactive and do useful stuff to survive all seasons (surviving all seasons is the survival part and main goal of don't starve together) -after u survive all seasons u can then go on a long journey to complete quests that lead u to endgame bosses and defeat those (nearly impossible without a specific strategy) -after the endgame bosses are defeated or u can do this whenever u want u can explore all the mechanics and optional content of the game OR... unlock post-endgame bosses content that isn't currently worth it and will make game harder if u choose to -then u can increase play time with some good mods that's it... it's also okay to search things on wiki for DST cuz it's definitely a wiki type of game (at least half of the game is)

1. You should gather resources as much you can 2. You should build a Science Machine and an Alchemy Engine they unlock crafting recipies and are the first things you put in your base 3. You can cook food atop of a firepit or campfire they give you more value, later you can even cook food in a crockpot 4. You can gather gold for science machine by mining gold mines with a pickaxe 5. There will be loads of optional bosses aswell as four kinda mandatory ones for each season 6. Build armor for example log suit or football helmets because they are essential for survival they negate 80% of the damage 7. There are a lot of unique mobs and enemies coming after you so just try to survive and have fun🕺

I’m very familiar with the ghosts in this game and I find it fun to guess the ghost before they do, it’s hard though because I can’t test for stuff or check things like they can, but they don’t know what they’re doing. I got wraith correct though. I’m only half way through so we’ll see what happens.

I just want to clarify something, ill explain this better in Part 2 but when I say “fall” i dont mean as a company. I think right now Valve is at its’ peak in that regard. What I mean by the use of that word is that they aren’t as innovative as they were when it came to the Half Life games where they were pushing the FPS genre. Steam is an amazing service that I love to use and has inspired many jobs in the industry which is always good, I planned to leave that explanation to the second part but I think it mightn’t be clear that I do genuinely love Valve and everything they do.
