Quick Tips on How to Maximize / Optimize your PC's Performance by Software Optimization
hi. i have a problem, when a run a game my gpu usage is about 100% but my cpu usage is always less than 10%. is there any solution for it? my cpu is 13700k and my gpu is arc a770.
@@sayedahmadqubadi940 , what game title do you play when this happens? I am asking because some game can be either be GPU-bound rather than a CPU heavy game.
@ it’s the same for all games.
@ what games do you play? How’s your gaming experience? Are they laggy? For there might be some bottlenecking that is happening in your system. Given your high specs cpu compared with your gpu. In what resolution are you playing your games? Your CPU and GPU combo are suitable for 1080p and 1440p gaming. Playing in 4k is not advisable…as there will just be GPU bottlenecking… that is when your GPU cannot keep up with your CPU. Result is your CPU will just run on low utilization compared with your maxed-out GPU utilization. If you are in thise situation or settings, scaling down to a lower gaming resolution should resolve this. And make sure that it is your discrtete Intel GPU is what you’re using. And not the onboard (iGPU) one. Please check and let me know. Thanks.
Does it come with the new am5 offset mounting kit?
Yes.
1:54 what software are you using to monitor? Is it a program or what
I am using AIDA64 Extreme. If you have a motherboard like an ASUS Z790 you can install it from the Armoury Crate.
I don't get option of bios update what can I do ??
0:15 try follow this instruction. If there is no BIOS update, that means that your laptop either has the most recent BIOS update or there is there is something wrong with your Lenovo app. You can either reinstall the Lenovo Desktop Vantage app or you may manually download the BIOS update from Lenovo website under your laptop’s page and manually update your BIOS, if there is an available BIOS update.
@tweakmixbuilds I have tried to update from page but it says that you have rom version what can I do sir
actually I reset my laptop and after that I am not getting bios update option
@ what is the exact model of your laptop?
@ have you downloaded a recovery drive from Lenovo specific for your laptop model? if not yet, please do so. You’ll need a flashdrive for it.
Do you have any coil whine? Thanks in advance!
Hi there. None so far on all of my games. I’ll try to subject to heavier loads on benchmarks to observe if it creates coil whine. And get back to you.
So, as mentioned, I have done some rigorous tests on games on High/Ultra settings and some benchmarks as well, but have not heard or noticed coil whine at all on this card. Though here are some things I picked up during my college years of electrical engineering - that I am applying over the years when building PC: - Use a PSU that as least 20-30% extra room wattage than what your total overclocked power is required by your built system. And also get a Gold or Platinum standard PSU. They are designed for the your high-end precious gaming parts. - match the 20-30% PSU power consideration for your AVR or better a UPS rated on W and not on VA. To make sure your power input is clean. - enable your V-Sync, G-Sync or FreeSync compatible monitors with your GPU. - if you are overclocking, try to trim down your voltage to a desirable (of course stable) voltage. - sometimes enabling your NVidia settings’ (in your context menu) power management set to to Ultra or Maximum performance can already do the OC trick for you. Remember: Coil whine technically is produced by electrical vibrations…so mainly power input and output usage will cause your coils and inductors to whine. So the cleaner your power is, the better you’ll minimize or even stop the annoying (to most) coil whine. Or if you have the same GPU card as I do and considered trying all I have listed above…you might want to have your gpu checked by your seller/shop/supplier for possible RMA. I hope I have helped you. Thanks for watching my video. Please like and subscribe for more.
@@tweakmixbuilds awesome thank you for the very well put together information. Happy holidays!
@@ICrAZYLoGiC you’re most welcome. Happy to help! Happy holidays!
I used Asus default OC settings (enabled with XMP I) with a DDR4 3200mhz I got 22552 in cinebehcnr23. during the benchmark, all p-cores were at 4700mhz and all e-cores were clocked at 3600mhz, the temps were around 67-85 at max. VIDs were around 1.12 for each core. vcore was around 1.184. so overall I'd say it was doing pretty good. My board was Asus rogstrix z690-A Gaming WIFI D4 with bios version 3603. I overcloked to 5Ghz on all cores and 4ghz on all ecores, (according to this video : th-cam.com/video/LOGkW99wrhA/w-d-xo.html ) and achieved 24000 something, but the temps were higher (96 degrees vs the 85 degrees). so I guess the default config can be very good as well.
@@amortalbeing That’s great! Keep your temps at 85°C tops for stability and longevity of your cpu. What cooler do you use? And what triple-A games do you play?
This video is too long. Why is it 26 minutes? Make it 5 minutes, bro.
@@David-sc5kf Thanks, bro.
Does the curve really adds to the experience in this size, or a flat panel could also work?
@@talzamir3542 Yes. For a monitor this size, choose a curved display if you prioritize immersion, play immersive single-player games, or enjoy cinematic visuals. It also provides less strain to the eyes during long hours of gaming. Choose flat panel I f you need versatility for work, competitive gaming, or prefer cost savings. For a 34-inch size, curved monitors are generally the better choice (especially on 1440p resolution) if your focus is on immersive gaming or entertainment, while flat panels excel in multitasking or budget-conscious setups. As a preference, I chose this ASUS ROG Strix XG349C due to its color and screen quality. With speeds just right (that I can maximize) and a curvature that is just right that I can still do normal work with it at the center part of the screen. But on gaming, full experience is ON!
how is this monitor? Is still worth to buy
Yes. I highly recommend this to rival the LG UltraGear 34GN95QE-B. Still no newer/modern OLEDs in my opinion.
Should I update it in a brand new loq laptop i just bought. I heard that if it's not broken, don't update it.
@@aldenpadilla1773 that is a good saying and principle. If your laptop still meets your requirements and demands based on actual use, then you do not need to upgrade to a brand new unit. And there are other options to maximize your existing laptop. Like adding or upgrading your RAM. Upgrading your storage capacity and speed.
updated bios=better performance, less errors (like blue screens), new features, troubleshooting, better compatibility and increased stability

@tweakmixbuilds okay do u face battery drain? And what is your battery wattage??
@souradeeproy3993 my battery drain seems to be normal, expected with a gaming laptop. I activate the Dynamic setting profile for my graphics utilization. So it will automatically switch cpu graphics to discrete graphics or vice versa whenever needed. To have a balance power consumption not to drain the laptop easily. My battery pack wattage capacity is 60Wh.

I dont have the ai tweaker in bios?
What exact motherboard brand and model are you using? And what do you need it for?
Do you have Thunderbolt 4 on your pc and how to enable it through BIOS? My pc does not recognise plugged Thunderbolt device. Pls advise.
Hi there! Here is how to enable Thunderbolt in your BIOS. Please follow these steps and options: >>> Enter BIOS Setup: • Restart your computer. • Press the BIOS key (usually Del, F2, or Esc) during boot-up. This key varies based on the manufacturer, but the BIOS access prompt usually appears at the bottom of the screen when the computer starts. >>> Find Thunderbolt Settings: • Navigate to the Advanced or Configuration tab (this depends on your BIOS layout). • Look for a section called Thunderbolt Configuration or Thunderbolt Settings. >>> Enabling Thunderbolt: • Within the Thunderbolt Configuration, find the Enable Thunderbolt or similar option. • Switch it from Disabled to Enabled. >>> Configure Additional Options (if available): • You might find additional Thunderbolt options such as: • Security Level: Options might include No Security, User Authorization, or Secure Connect. • Thunderbolt Boot Support: Enable this if you want to use Thunderbolt devices during boot-up. >>> Save Changes: • Once enabled, navigate to the Exit tab. • Select Save Changes and Exit. >>> Boot into Windows: • After saving, the computer will reboot. Once in Windows, you can check if Thunderbolt 4.0 is enabled through the Thunderbolt Control Center or Device Manager. Important: If you don’t see the Thunderbolt option in the BIOS, make sure your motherboard supports Thunderbolt 4.0 (by checking in your motherboard’s manual) and the necessary updated drivers and firmware are installed. Lastly if all these are followed, you might want your actual Thunderbolt 4.0 device checked for any physical product hardware malfunction or defect from your vendor or store where you bought it. I hope this helps. Thank you. Please like and subscribe for more quality and informative videos. Keep safe and have fun!

Where I change the CPU voltage on this BIOS? I have an i5 12600kf and want to put ecores on 4.4 and pcorss on 5.0
Enable Advanced Mode: • Once in the BIOS, press F7 to switch from EZ Mode to Advanced Mode. Navigate to the AI Tweaker tab: • In Advanced Mode, go to the AI Tweaker tab. This section contains the options for overclocking your CPU and adjusting core settings. Adjust P-Core and E-Core Ratios: • Look for the options labeled P-Core Ratio and E-Core Ratio. • These settings allow you to manually set the core ratios (multipliers) for your P-cores and E-cores, which determines their frequency. The formula is: Core Frequency = Base Clock (BCLK) x Core Ratio For example, if the base clock (BCLK) is 100 MHz and you set the P-Core ratio to 50, your P-core frequency will be 5.0 GHz. Adjust Core Voltage (optional): • To maintain stability when increasing the frequency, you may need to adjust the core voltage. This can be done under the CPU Core Voltage setting in the same AI Tweaker tab. However, increase voltage cautiously to avoid overheating or damage. Enable/Disable Specific Cores (optional): • If you want to enable or disable specific cores, go to the Advanced tab, select CPU Configuration, and then look for options related to core enabling/disabling, like Active E-Core Count or Active P-Core Count. Save and Exit: • After making the necessary changes, press F10 to save and exit. Your PC will reboot with the new settings. Important: • Be cautious when adjusting voltages and core frequencies, as improper settings can cause system instability or damage your CPU. • You can monitor temperatures and stability through stress testing software like Prime95 or Intel’s XTU (Extreme Tuning Utility). Make sure to have good CPU cooling and chassis ventilation system when doing this. Enjoy and have fun! Please like and subscribe for more quality and informative videos. Thank you!

@@moneyzonetrader though it may differ in a lot of ways. Like your hardware combinations and how you intend to set and use your computer. But here are some general tips I can suggest for you: - If overclocking: - Set the Core Ratio to Sync All Cores. - Manually adjust the CPU clock speed. Great tutorial. I will need to do my first bios update (1st attempt for me) on my ASUS z690i, it's paired with a i9-13900k. The new update (3603) allows the user to change Performance Preferences with a new option for "Intel Default Settings" which was never there before. Then there was an update from 3603 to 3701 that included a microcode 0x125. Do I need to do 3603 before doing 3701? Also before doing any bios update is it necessary to reset your bios to factory stock settings, Default (F5)? Will having XMP enabled for ram or custom fan curves affect the update from installing correctly?
@@jp99575w Hi there! Thank you for watching my video. You can directly download and install the most recent BIOS 3802. Latest BIOS typically includes all the improvements and fixes from previous versions. You don’t need to reset your current BIOS to factory’s stock setting before upgrading to a new BIOS. You can just install the new BIOS update directly. Your BIOS will automatically reset after successful BIOS update. XMP and fan curve settings have nothing to do with having the BIOS to install successfully. But is important to do all those after successfully BIOS update. Because having XMP enabled for your installed RAM will maximize your memory module settings to run on speed clocks designed for it to run your rig optimally. And custom fan curves can improve your CPU and GPU as well as your system overall cooling performance as well as controlling the noise level of your rig. So it will just ramp up when your system needs it. Good for optimizing power consumption as well.

@jp99575w Yes, you may select default allocation size. But are you sure that your BIOS update file size is 32GB or 32MB? Because if it is true, then it will not fit in your 15GB (not sure of this size either - 16GB maybe) USB flashdrive. What motherboard brand and model are you using? Important note: Please make sure that your BIOS file size should always be smaller than your USB flashdrive’s capacity. And make sure to reformat your USB flashdrive using the FAT32 format and select default allocation size. Follow these as I have showed in my video, and you’ll be fine. And good to go to update your motherboard’s BIOS.

The new update (3603) allows the user to change Performance Preferences with a new option for "Intel Default Settings" which was never there before. Then there was an update from 3603 to 3701 that includes a microcode 0x125. Do I need to do 3603 before doing 3701? Also before doing any bios update is it necessary to reset your bios to factory stock settings, Default (F5)? Will having XMP enabled for ram or custom fan curves affect the update from installing correctly?
Hi @jp99575w, you can do direct update to 3701 unless there is a requirement of 3603 or lower. You can have this checked on the website for any extra info. As for the BIOS update, please do a Factory Stock Settings before you do the BIOS update, else for sure, you can have the motherboard bricked and then all kind of troubleshooting comes into the picture.....

So this MB should be able to use a Cat8 cable right and pull down 1000+ mbps from the ISP?
@@ffblegend Hi there! This motherboard has an Intel 2.5 Gb Ethernet port that can handle up to 2.5 Gbps (gigabits per second), which is equivalent to 2500 Mbps (megabits per second). For optimal performance with a 2.5 Gb Ethernet connection, you should use at least Cat 5e Ethernet cables. However, for better future-proofing and even more reliable performance, Cat 6 or Cat 6a cables are recommended. These cables are capable of handling higher speeds and are better suited for reducing interference over longer distances. But actual maximum internet speeds still depends on your contracted ISP max speed subscription.

Small detail that most tutorials do not mention and that could break the BIOS update. While not absolutely necessary, for the best compatibility the USB stick should be formatted as FAT32 and have MBR partition style. Not always (depends on the board brand), but for some, if those 2 parameters are not met, it could fail to load the new BIOS and leave you with a useless board, as the first step of the update process is to wipe clean the chip for the new version to be copied into it. It has happened to me before and i still thank god that someone has invented the flashback button that allowed me to install the BIOS on the wiped chip, or i'd have to buy another board... and it wasn't even a month since i got that one. And one more tip is: connect the stick directly to the board and not the front panel.
Agree. Thank you. I can make a video or short out of this as well. So we can share the knowledge. Normally, in Windows, if you use at least a low capacity flashdrive. Let's say an 8GB (which is usually the right capacity for a BIOS file) USB thrumbdrive, Windows by default should format it to FAT32. But to your point NTFS can be an option, sometimes be a default file format for larger USB drives, should be opted to go with FAT32 for better BIOS compatibility. But in the modern motherboards however, you can now directly look up in your harddrive directly for the BIOS file that you have downloaded and have upgrade the BIOS directly from there. This will not require any flashdrive. But usually, if your motherboard does not allow any other file system aside from FAT32, the motherboard should not allow your BIOS file to be read in the first place. And update should not continue. So it will be a failsafe for the motherboard if the USB file system is not acceptable. And so not bricking your motherboard.

Im having troube with my asus B760m plus wifi 2. Intel i714700k, 240 corsair cooler. My intel tuning software has my ratios and core voltages greyed out. When put through any streas test, it thermal throttles and hits 100% or close to it. If i start tweaking it, it seems like it starts to bottleneck the e cores at 75%, and my cinebench comes in very low. Any recommendations for this setup? The bios are identical
Please upgrade to BIOS Version 1658. Then try the "Optimal" BIOS settings first. Then use the benchmark results as your baseline. Then try your settings afterwards. Then compare results from the optimal settings baseline results. The adjust as needed - to your preference and stable system.
And also I think the B760 chipset does not support overclocking. That's why your Intel tuning software features are greyed-out. You need a motherboard with a "Z" prefix on the chipset. Like Z790...
I have the same setup except for ddr5 ram and i have a 3070, with the most recent bios i am wondering if you have any details on how to undervolt the 12700k for better cooling performance while maintaining 5.0ghz or as close to those clock speeds as possible. Thanks.
Since I cannot see your BIOS from here. And it depends system per system, for safety reasons of your PC investment, I suggest forn you to try downloading Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel XTU) tool directly from Intel. Just choose the correct operating system when download it. Install it and go to the undervolt section of the tool. Gradually lower down voltage. And perform the stability tests provided in the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel XTU) tool itself. Check and monitor your system stats (like temp and frequency) choose the most stable undervolt setting best for your cpu cooler as well. When you reach your desired setting, save it and reboot your system. You should be good by then. For best CPU temps even without undervolting... you can try some of the best AIOs or air coolers in your country/area. In my experience, 12700k are pretty much the best i7 perfomers at an easy to manage cooling and cpu cooler fan curve settings. In my 12700k setup, I use a dual air-cooler tower Noctua NH-D15. At an ambient of 24C in the room, I can get 35C low - 75C highest from idle to playing triple-A games.

hi @haithamyaldoqu3722 Valorant is a CPU bound game. If your CPU overheats while gaming, try to check the following. Any of these might help you resolve your overheating CPU: 1. Try checking your AIO or CPU air cooler's functionality, if everything is good. Clean if needed. Check your CPU cooler fans for any abnormal/unusual sound squeaking, might need replacement. 2. Check you AIO or CPU air cooler's fan curve. You might need to adjust to a more aggressive curve, like 100% (fan speed) on 75 or 80C CPU temperature. 3. Clean and replace CPU thermal paste, then re-seat your AIO or CPU air cooler. Let me know.
Sounds like he needs to under volt his CPU and he's forcing his PC on performance he doesn't have on PC if your getting blue screens even on low settings you definitely have old components I would suggest a PC reset and fresh windows install make sure your not just switching on all types of settings you have no clue about

Hi I have the same motherboard and my CPU tanks at 4.5mhz instead of 4.9mhz(advertised turbo p core speed) on my i5 12600k idk why...do you maybe know how to fix this?
Make sure that your BIOS has the most recent update. Go to your BIOS setting. Set to "optimal settings". Set your RAM to XMP1. And "Disable" (if you are not planning to overclock your cpu) Asus Multicore Enhancement. Save BIOS and restart your PC. Check again if your CPU can already reach up to 4.9mhz or higher by using any of your CPU benchmarking software you have.
I have the same components as you, but a little higher 64GB, i7-11700K and Asus Strix Rog Z590-F, do you 100% recommend configuring the bios?
Yes. You should! To maximize your rig's potential. I have another gaming PC that is very similar to yours. Refer to my TH-cam video link: th-cam.com/video/3HGooHfRT3M/w-d-xo.htmlsi=PBXU_1TLr6cDm-DH. I did a stability test after BIOS setting. First you need to update your BIOS ( rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z590-f-gaming-wifi-model/helpdesk_bios/ ) if you haven't yet. Just make sure that you have a good cooler. Your ROG-Z590 mobo should show you a cooler rating high enough good enough to overclock your cpu. You need a good cooling system as well. As the 11700k is quite hot in the temp department. Have fun!
Hi! I have i7 12700K and a Motherboard Z790-P D4. I do this overclock?
@@SnoluwDPG My suggestion is, Yes! So that you an maximize your cost to performance experience. But do take note that before overclocking, please make sure you have considered all these in your rig: good airflow (intake and exhaust), good cpu cooling (AIO, custom water cooling or rated air cooler) and good rated power supply [PSU] (for you to have ample power based on total wattage of CPU, GPU and your entire system. a bronze rating is already goo. But Gold is definitely better). For stable power CPU power, please make sure to plug all motherboard ATX CPU power cords (usually located at the upper left of the motherboard near the heat spreaders) supplied by your PSU. Have fun and enjoy!

i have the same setup, except an ASUS mobo. in the System Agent CPU settings, do you recommend manually setting m.2 and PCIEx15(g5) link speeds to Gen4 for ssd and Gen5 for GPU? to force the GPU to be run off the CPU's PCIE 5.0 x 16 slot? ive always been confused about this . i feel like Auto would use the chipset lanes
You may change it to what Gen your M.2 SSD or GPU specifies. But you may also leave it on Auto. No performance issue either way. The lesser your auto settings are, the faster you BIOS will load. But if you are unsure, leave it on auto.
hello mate, which fan did you put next to the ram? because mine is too big and i cant close my case. thanks a lot
Hi there. I put the Noctua's NF-A12x25 PWM fan. It's only 120mm so it will fit. And the maximum 2,000rpm of it can really push in more sufficient air. Though in actual gaming (overclocked cpu setting), PWM only pushes 50-75% of its speed because the other fan helps to push more air out as well.
Hello. Im new in overlock. And usually i use Auto Oc, fortunately Asus Motherboard have auto Oc1 And Oc2 profile. Sow with Oc2 i have something 4.9 ghz. But then i go to Au tweaker /thermal velocity boost. And i find option Enhanced tvb or Overlocking tvb and there are 1+boost profile and 2+ boost. Sow i try and he just up my Overclock speed. My cpu now on 5.0 ghz. With that option. Can you please tell me what that option do and itsnok if i use it after auto oc2?
Hi! The TVB boost profile will just add voltage to your CPU and eventually heat it up some more with just a little gain. I suggest, if you're new to overclocking, first you have to figure out first why you will do overclocking. Or if there is a need for you to do so. Now if you have figured-out what you would want to achieve in overclocking, I would suggest for you to research more on undervolting your cpu instead. For OC1 and OC2 tuning profiles, I suggest you use OC1 if you are using an air cooler. And OC2 if you're using an AIO/watercooling. Conduct benchmarks with available softwares online like Cinebench, Prime95, etc. Record and compare results while you change settings. So you would know your best and stable settings that suits your computing or gaming requirement. Keep safe and have fun!
