Deshaun Watson is a cautionary tale for teams and fans that believe a player's character doesn't matter. You don't need to be a choirboy to play in the NFL, but we all know Watson's off-field behavior was a big red flag many times over.

I will always say this about deshawn When Joe Theismann got injured, people cheered for him getting carted off the field. Not because he was injured, but because they wanted to cheer for everything he had done for the team. Theismen remarked on this later, saying hos happy he was for the love the fans gave him in that moment The fact that the players immediately thought the fans were cheering for the injury goes to show what they really thought of him

It was the mid 80s when Mike Ditka became the first true media star as HC. He won the SB, had a lot of success so teams wanted a more passionate kind of guy whom wouldn’t take a loss standing down as opposed to the more stoic guys like Landry, Knox, Noll and Shula. Glanville, Schottenheimer, Wyche, Buddy Ryan alongside Jim Mora were the new breed of emotionally unhinged, passionate coaches hired in part of Ditkas success with that style. Postgame press conferences after a loss from one of these guys was usually headline news and was epic drama. The era of the prima donna HC had mixed and usually disappointing results. These guys had talented players but their teams underachieved. Their antics provided good theater but also served as a divisive distraction. Things better handled behind closed doors turned players against these coaches and that era eventually came to an end

Daniel Jones is a decent qb, but just that just decent. He's not the guy. But a number of teams have gotten caught up in severely overpaying QBs, and now suffering the repercussions and intense pressure that comes with having a QB that is not going to take them to the Super Bowl. It's seems got caught up in the race to pay top dollar for their QB, receivers as well and not it's put a spotlight on all those high priced guys.

There's literally no point in time where this wasn't completely evident. 🙃

Daniel Jones was not a top prospect coming out... Stop it. He played at fuckin duke and had a mediocre career there. Sub 7.0 YPA his entire career which still holds true in the Nfl. Sure some pundits had him mocked to Giants cause they heard rumors Giants liked him. But he was not a top 50 talent. 2019 was a very weak QB class, and Giants sold themselves the idea that DJ who shared Eli college coach would do well to learn behind Eli. It was massive reach that has failed. DJ stinks!
