After replacing the alternator, do you need to 'reset' anything on it?

First and foremost the battery must be disconnected for your safety which is located under the passengers seat i tape the connections to make sure They were isolated , after Reconnecting it automatically reset itself Even the clock reset itself.

this begs the question, if engineers located the battery under passenger seat, where did they hide the REGULATOR then... trunk ??? Seriously, the RearSAM in involved in requesting power from ECU that controls alternator. To get proper alternator voltage you need near ZERO CAN BUS DTC faults plus a working regulator/brushset.

Thank you, this was very helpful. That was my first thought is it the voltage regulator and can I just replace that.

Depends on the year the 2010 can't be replaced separate ,newer versions will disconnect separately
