About 40 miles per second
www.astroproductreviews.com - About 40 miles per second - here is an animation of Comet NEOWISE to show how fast it's moving - about 30 minutes of data - The comet is traveling at about 40 miles per second (that's about 144,000 mph, or 231,000 km/h). Joe Masiero, deputy principal investigator of the NEOWISE mission, said the the comet is moving about twice as fast as the Earth's speed around the sun.

I was disappointed that you didn't throw the counterweights and bar on top the hand controller. Like you did with everything else. 🙄
How does it hold up against the rain?
Where is that rocket from and what did it cost? 😀
Not much said bout the Scope "review "
Your video seems completely backwards to me…
Hi, great review. How did you decide skyshed versus nexdome? Is the dome fully automated? Or is it manual?
here in 2022 :).. been looking at this or the tpo / astrotech 8in f/4. Think Ill go with orion.... it seems to have a better focusser... and its 2lb lighter (plus the primary glass is Bk7)
was this taken through the Orion Skyview Pro 8" ?
how did you collimate it?
Thanks for the review.
Very impressive. I do also all my observing from inside my house. Subzero temperature outside is my favorite observing time.
Hi..is this scope suitable for a Canon Eos 6D does anyone know?
I would be concerned about my weight and being on that decking at the same time as the telescope. Are you using a pier that is separate from the deck floor or are you using a tripod that sits on that floor? I'm a BIG guy, over 300 lbs and I can usually feel that kind of material give a bit under my feet. So I'm curious now that you have lived with it for over a year, do you regret that deck material? Does it distort or stretch under the weight of the scope?
He said no pier!?
th-cam.com/video/r165S9NAwMc/w-d-xo.html Hey friends there's my handmade 6 inch dob. Telescope lunar view
hey, i know this vid was from a long time ago, what could i see with this, and also how can i use it to take pictures
What a Jagoff For Not Responding To Peoples Questions,I Could Have Told You More About This Camera In 3 Min,and Not Even Mention The Box.As Long As Its Protected, and Not Damaged.I Dont Care What The Box Looks Like
Does this work with a dslr?
What review??? There is a camera in the box!!!! NO really.....
You've got a killer setup right there! I'm super envious. I hope to have a rig half as nice as this one day.
Hi, would you tell me what's your main job in daily life?
No lifting handles?
I just got this cam and im wondering of getting a eos canon adapter and then combine it with 135mm F2.0. Would you think the 2MB pix is enough for deep sky?
Great video John! Love your models, especially the Saturn V!
Hi John, Enjoyed your video. Nice set up and great images. I'm from NW, Ohio also. I also have a pilots license, got it at Toledo Suburban back in the 90's.
srjeff1 another pod owning pilot living in cloudy central Ohio. I fly for Spirit airlines.
Great video and a super setup....I learn so much from your video and I have a SkyShed Pod also which I will use my 80mm SkyWatcher scope inside ... I built a Rubbermaid control shed beside it which can be heated :) Your photos are excellent :)
I enjoyed your video very much! Great set-up and those images at the end are spectacular! I am your 100th subscriber and I will be back for more of your how-to videos. Thank you
It's good to see that "Advanced through the saddle" wiring harness as cleared up that rat's nest! lol
Great Video..thanks..just getting into Astronomy...and would like to dabble alil in Astro Photography
Fantastic overview of your SkyShed POD John! We know you will make the most of it! Clear Skies!
Just found your channel tonight. I have the same scope (going on 3 years now) and it's great. To fix your balance problem, I've carefully rotated the scope in it's mounting rings, so that the camera and the guide scope balance out evenly, pretty much no matter what position the mount takes it to, it's still balanced and I get no flexure. Thanks for your reviews.
I wish to have same scope😶
Celtron 130eq or 114 eq 127 eq which is best for look long distance deep in sky? And what is best 500 focal or 1000 focal with f/4 F/5 or other?
Shorter focal lenghts are generally better for deep sky astronomy
Did you say it was a paid or unpaid review? I couldn’t hear clearly what you said. Thanks
Not paid
Thanks for clarifying
Hi John, I live in Northwest, Ohio also. Had my pod together a couple weeks now. Have yet to finish up inside with electrical, due to flu season and other commitments. Yippee! Anyway - clear skies. Jeff
srjeff1 it's a frustrating time of year. Cold and flu and the cloudy season. Clear skies soon.
Fantastic John! Great Job! Enjoy!
Hi and thank you for providing some useful info on this particular ZWO camera. I was previously thinking of purchasing the ZWO ASI224MC camera, as it seems to be highly regarded as an excellent planetary camera and for occasional deep sky work. I’ve since seen this ZWO ASI385MC camera described on one particular astronomical retailer’s website as follows: “...basically a larger chipped version of the popular ASI224 model. However, the ASI385 has smaller amp glow and generally provides cleaner raw images. This excellent camera will provide exceptional performance for planetary and lunar work, but can also be used for deep sky imaging as well.” Would you happen to know of any disadvantages of specification or performance of the ASI385 compared to the ASI224, for planetary or deep sky use, that would make buying the cheaper ASI224 a potentially preferable option, or does the ASI385 win out in comparison, on everything but price? Sorry if I’m asking for too much help and guidance here and thanks again for posting this video, even if you’re unable to answer my query. 🙋🏻♂️
Assbole never replied to you
WIZARD Z ,Agreed..If Your Not Going To Respond,Dont Post The Video’s..and Was An Outstanding Question
Maybe the turd that made this video died from the Corona virus or maybe he's busy on a Top Secret Mission for the US Government
@@PafMedic that makes no fucking sense. you expect someone to reply to everyone? its like saying popular youtubers have to reply to everyone or else they are an asshole. get some fucking common sense.
I have the 10" in the mail. A pilot too eh? A Fokker Tri no less.........cool!!!
Eddie - yes - 31 years flying - 10 years to build the triplane - tricky to fly (land)
Do you have a problem with tube flexure mounting that 60mm guidescope in the finder shoe?
it has not been an issue = but a more robust mount would be better - it is possible to knock it out of position
Great review. But sitting on it for stress test? LOL
sometimes you have to make due!
very interesting !
Good review. Now that you have had it a while, what are your thoughts? Can you do an updated review? Not much information out there from a daily use perspective on this mount. Thanks
👍👍👍👍👍👍
this telescope is $450 is it good for a beginner?
It is a great value for the price
Thanks for the reply!!
I'm really interested in the imaging performance of this mount for 15-20min. guided subs for narrowband. Post one when you get a chance. Thanks!
Will do - hope to get outside tonight or the next week - we have been having a lot of cloudy nights...
Hello, Nice review. Can this handle a Meade 16" SCT OTA?
Yes - it is listed at 67 lbs and the mount is rated for 115 lbs... so even with imaging train, cameras or other accessories you would not come close to the weight limit.
Mihir Padhye OTA on a Mead 16” SCT shows 65 to 67 pounds.
A review on the ports and its use would be nice
On the base you Power input 12V then switch ON/OFF, Handbox, RS-232, USB 2.0, Ethernet, and a Wifi antenna connector and a GPS connector On the RA axis you got a USB 2.0 port, a USB 3.o port, a power inpur, a special 4 pin connector input and all these go through to the saddle plate in order to avoid hangin cables. Also in the RA axis you got a USB port for connecting a Polar Scope
I did a more complete write up on the mount here: www.astroproductreviews.com/single-post/2018/02/07/iOptron-CEM-120-Review
