Appreciate the support but the reality is that she expressing her reaction to my hidden (at the time) porn addiction. Our podcast is about staying married while I dealt with my addiction and she dealt with the emotional betrayal of that addiction. My turning to porn had nothing to do with how she was treating me and everything to do with the rise of the internet (late 1990’s) and my own unresolved heart issues and brokenness. In working through those I have learned that those issues are indeed the responsibility of the individual to resolve and cannot be put upon the spouse to fix. In addition, she also had to learn that I could not be put upon a pedestal as “the perfect guy” and that I had flaws but we both still loved each other in spite of the growing up we had to do. Thank you for the comment though, I appreciate it!
@@HopeReforged yeah knowing the context that changes things. That context probably should have been included, it’s pretty weird. Now I agree with her concern.
@@Beezi. Yeah, we hadn't really considered how to add that critical information for the shorts- we probably should have put that context into the description at least. I'll pass that along to our content creators for consideration- you are correct it would certainly be helpful in understanding the discussion!
