    Thanks so much! I have been rather scared of my acclaim, which I have since Christmas. I love that you address even „obvious“ things such as the electricity plug. Clearly one knows that, but it is lovely to just watch a super detailed step by step and follow it as you talk. It is the very best instruction - even much better than the official acclaim youtube instructions by the company itself. Thanks again and happy sewing 🧷✂️🌹

    This was a great visual guide for accurate measurements. Thank you. One other measurement that I have been seeing recently is the upper bust. A number of pattern developers recommend choosing a shirt or dress pattern based on the upper bust measurement and then grading out to fit the full bust and waist/hips if needed. What is your experience?

    Megan what a brave lady you are to do this in front of a camera! I think this has to be the first and best video I’ve watched in all my years and I’m now 66 and wanting to start making clothes for myself after years and I mean years. I get very depressed when I look at pattern measurements now as my body shape has changed hugely. When I saw you take your measurements I thought if you can do it so can I. I really don’t like my shape and more afraid that what I try to make won’t fit. I’m not a dress 👗 person, I love my trousers and so I really want to try but heard so many horror stories on fitting. Please Megan could you make a video on trousers? 👖 Thank you for sharing your video with us all ❤❤❤❤

    I noticed that your shoulder seam on your Boyfriend Cardigan is pulling out. Is that because the seam was too small? Could you correct this by adding some tape to the shoulder seams? Thanks for your input.

    • @sewandtellaustralia
      @sewandtellaustralia หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey @kathleenmccormick369, thanks for you comment :) There is actually a small fault in the fabric right in front of the shoulder seam which makes it look like its falling apart, but the shoulder seam itself is still intact. But you could definitely add some tape in the shoulder seams for extra stability if you wished.

I have zippers on enclosures that do not separate to remove and I am working on installing the pin and stop box.

    I don’t have an over locker/serger but I do use the overlocking stitches on my sewing machine to finish wovens. It uses a bit of thread and time but much cheaper and time efficient than making a garment that unravels on you.

    • @sewandtellaustralia
      @sewandtellaustralia หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely. The faux overlock stitches on the more modern, computerised machines are amazing! Nothing hurts more than a garment falling apart after one a couple of wears 😭
