Hellenia speciosa or Euang Mai Na
is a tropical plant with
large pubescent dark green leaves spiraling up the stem.This species reproduces vegetatively by rhizome. The flowers bloom in late summer, forming glossy red cone-shaped bracts that stay red even after flowering. Each bract produces 3-4 white, crinkled flowers and dies back in winter. The fruits are red capsules containing black seeds.
