Thanks for the shout out Saw bits and pieces on twitch stream. Saw you did a lot of exploration. Great job there. Yes there’s more islands to explore in addition to what you already found. Sorry I don’t recall where I got magnetite from. But on one of the islands there’s a handheld mineral scanner that will help finding resources Merry Christmas and happy new year

Remember also that the sea glider has a map function (at least it will show you how the immediate area looks)

Also there are research facilities that are on land that you might want to consider checking out (it’ll open up more areas for exploration)

The “gift of the sea monkey” now means that they are “sorry” for taking your stuff that they now actually give you valuable resources (like magnetite and diamonds etc etc) 😉

I advise (assuming that you can build a planter bed) that you leave one ribbon plant intact for when you build a planter bed so you can then farm all the ribbons you need 😉

Whoops, looks like my last hint concerning how to upgrade your Seamoth was too vague, lol. You don't need to find a garage for it, you have already built one. 😉 Since my last hint was not helpful, you get two bonus hints: 1. You have planted some decorative plants at your base, just image how cool it would be to grow some plants that you could eat. 2. Some of the stuff that you would really like to get are inside the wrecks you have been seeing on the seafloor. Carefully explore them and you will be rewarded.

Holy crap. You actually found a gel sack this early????? I advise building an exterior garden bed near your base, and start farming that gel sack! Place it into the garden and then cut it twice (you will get 2 seeds) then pick it back up and replant it. Repeat until your garden is full 👍

You did good!! You even found your first teleportation arc!!!!

Also if possible, it would be good to move your face cam to the upper right hand corner of the screen. You have it in the lower right hand corner, which hides the info about your Seamoth, so we cannot see it. 😕

The joy of watching someone play Subnautica for the first time is watching them figure stuff out and solve the mysteries in the game. I would trust yourself more. You are actually doing pretty good at figuring stuff out on your own rather than when following directions given by others (they are wrong a lot of the time. lol). As you found out, one of the most dangerous places you can be right now is driving your Seamoth up near the surface. The only thing you will normally see up there are dangerous things that would like to hurt you. All the interesting stuff you want to see is near the seafloor. However, you have earned another hint, but purposely vague (hehe). If I would like to build upgrades for a car, I might do that in the garage -- that might be true for a Seamoth also. 🤔

🎉 Your SEAMOTH !! 🎉 The Subnautica equivalent of getting your drivers license. 🙂 I found it kind of funny that you were not finding the fragments of the mobile vehicle bay. They are located near the areas where the Stalker fish are and whenever you see one of those you always fixate on them -- totally forgetting what you were doing. LOL

Even though the plants are pretty… they don’t have any game value, however you want to plant the ones that actually are used for food, the lantern tree, bulbous tree, the melons, the potatoes… I think that’s all the ones that give food/water (Also if you plant “rotten” plants they miraculously become fresh 😉)

You can go back to the places you got markers for previously (the game automatically turns markers off when you first visit them to prevent too much screen clutter). You can make any markers/beacon visible or not and even change their color. Using those markers is the best way to navigate around. It's also VERY important to pick up and listen to all PDAs that you find. You have picked up some PDAs and never listened to their voice recordings yet. You can do both of those things using your PDA. : ) You have swam by the mobile vehicle bay fragments many, many times just never scanned them yet. You even looked directly at one of them and said "I have never seen that before." 🙂 HINT: same general locations that you found the Seaglide fragments. I don't like to give hints, but you are going to LOVE your Seamoth. Also you have been able to build your compass for a while now using your fabricator (you just scroll past it quickly and have never noticed it yet). When reading the info in the PDA, you can skip all the lore stuff and just read the useful info. the lore stuff is always first then the more useful info and important clues are at the end. I have seen some streamers avoid checking the info in their PDA because they think it is boring for people to watch. However there is/will be some very cool stuff that you can only get from your PDA. Maybe poke around in your PDA a little off camera to get use to how it is organized. It is organized in a way that separates the useful info from the more cosmetic/lore stuff (that you can skip). BTW, the time capsules contain a gift and a message to you from another person that has played the game. you can read the message from the time capsule you already picked up in you PDA. Cannot yell you anymore because, you now -- spoilers. Part of the fun of watching people play Subnautica is seeing them figure things out. Oh and also when they first meet the "big scary fish" by the Aurora. LOL

A compass would help you immensely… look around Lifepod 3 just saying 😉

Your PDA is your friend. When you scan things, it will tell you how you can used them. The game rewards your curiosity, but you have to read the PDA to get the clues. : ) The game is a little frustrating at first because it does not hold your hand, but it gives you all the breadcrumbs you need to figure things out. Which is really fun when that happens.

such a small advice. 1. swim with empty hands or use a sea glider (you swim faster) 2. don't collect anything you can't use 3. when you stream a video, reduce your image to the minimum possible and place it in the upper left corner of the monitor where it does not interfere with anything 4. if you are not sure, ask for advice 5.if you have a dead battery, replace it with a new one 6.if you have a scanner, scan everything you can. You will get useful information and plans for building the things you need. 7.if you are playing a game on PC, use the keyboard and mouse instead of the console
