It’s definitely up there for me too! Really enjoy the downhills and the uphills aren’t that bad, will be there next year and if I’m around the 1hour 40 I’ll be over the moon!

It’s an excellent event - ideal course for running good times - lovely scenery as well if you get the weather - lucky with that on the night, definitely one for next year!

That’s the plan next year, blast up the forest trail to get ahead and a little more space for the field section! Beautiful location though and highly recommend the Mourne Mountains if you’re over in NI, for a run or just a day hiking!

Sorry to hear your experiences with the Glycerin 20 - the only issue I had with the 20 was the insole wearing at the big toe area, below the big toe as opposed to the upper - I have just over 500km according to Strava on my 21s now, and aside from a bit of wear on the outsole (mainly midfoot) I don’t have any issues but I have heard of someone who had upper issues in the toebox with the 21 Stealthfit edition- will be going into more detail in the next marathon training shoe rotation video - (one planned in the next few weeks )

I must admit, I’ve never watched the movie but I believe Salzburg is indeed the setting for it - amazing place to visit in general, I must say - but i definitely learnt that poles are a must for next time, they were key on the descents when I spent half the time on my back!

You did brilliant to cope with the conditions and finish. Your fitness level must be really good now.

Almost lost the camera in the mud there on one of the descents, close to not having any video at all! But it was some experience, might see you there next year, or another UTMB event if you’ve any planned, coming up?

Thanks! Excellent time you ran as well, especially in those conditions! I think overall I loved the experience, but definitely found it trying at times on the descents… race video up today, hopefully it brings back some good memories of the day!
