I found these installed on 4x4 load bearing posts resting on a wood pressure treated wood deck surface and slightly hanging over the deck fascia. Is this an acceptable application?

Just a suggestion, that screw sleeve should be used as designed.
Not a tool, more of a guide. What gets me the most is the measurement after already screwing it in. If you like being on your knees for a long time this is perfect. Realistically, you'd be better off half-setting a nail to the first stud and just marking every 16in from there, then just grab your studs and slam them in with a framing gun. To each their own though, I suppose.
I measured it to show that it was 16" on center. As I said in the description this isn't the fastest way to frame, however if you don't frame everyday and you want to do a precise job this is where the tool shines.

It removes the need for a wood strip to support the slats. The wood strips tend to break off of the side rail.

It would be handy to know the drill bit sizes to drill the pilot holes. Also one one bit of the video the bracket is flush with the end of the wood and when its being screwed in its suddenly moved back a little. Better to be flush? Does it matter?
