God dag til deg 😊 and hallo from Australia 🇦🇺 . I have been needing a change for a while and something inside is pointing me towards Norway. Your videos are super amazing and very helpful. Before 2030 i plan to be residing in Norway. I quite like the farming land on the west coast from Stavanger down to Brusand 💚
Very helpful thank you for sharing . You are so sweet xx 🙏
Good video and well explained! I'd like to add littles informations. For the base layer, 100% merino wool is not always the best choice. It depends on the intensity of the activity you'll be doing while you're outside. If you're planning an activity that requires little or no effort, like walking or simply enjoying the outdoors, 100% Merino wool is the best choice. But, if you're going to alternate between more and less intense efforts, like playing or working outdoors, a mix of merino wool and polypropylene is best. For example, 60% merino and 40% polypropylene. Because polypropylene (not to be confused with polyester) wicks away moisture faster and more efficiently than any wool, due to its hydrophobic property, which keeps you drier than wool. However, it's not as warm as wool, so it's a good idea to mix it with wool when alternating between different intensities of activity, to get the best of both worlds. And in case you're planning an very intense activity, example: training, running, cross-country skiing etc., the best option here would be 100% Polypropylene. As it dries faster than merino wool and is also lighter. So to sum up, merino wool is warmer than poplypropylene, but polypropylene is better at managing moisture. Another thing to consider is that polypropylene is less soft than merino wool, but more resistant. And it's not as good at managing odors. One of the brands I recommend for a good blend of merino wool and polypropylene is “Helly Hansen”. I work outside in winter in Quebec and I find that the wool/polypropylene blend is better than merino wool alone. Because I alternate between intense and less intense activities.
Loved your video, thank you!
Wow, YOU have done an OUTSTANDING job here with this video. You've covered the different stores, how items are put on sale, which brands are the low-cost generic items, how an app can help you remember where the sales are, where/how/when alcohol is sold, how bottles are recycled, and how the bread machine operates. THANK YOU SO MUCH! We were just in Norway and shopped at Rema and Kiwi, and all of your information is so accurate. Again, THANK YOU!!! 🙂
Hi beautiful informative video. We will be visiting on Nov 24th and staying in Reine. 1) just 3 queries - for northern lights will this be a good village to see them or rely more on northern lights tours(will be doing one anyways)….2) would the reinebriengen hike be open? 3) Any drone restrictions generally <249 grams
Coming over in january..what make is the jumper? Haaland rules..mcfc ok
Aluminium foil under the woolen insole will will reduce radiation heat loss to the ground. Leather boots works well provided they are well impregnated
Went there a year ago at the end of October and was curious about expending the the whole winter. Missed the northern lights but in general it was an incredible trip :) Hope to be back soon!
What kind of boots do you recommend and coat
Im going for the polar night this Dec.. hope it's not disappointing

Nice! I enjoy most of these things when I am in Norway, and also solvær/lever/kyllingpostei på knekkebrød and of course many other things in a tube such as baconost, svinkeost, etc. 😀
Wonderfully helpful as we prepare for a move to Norway! Tusen takk!!!

Thank you so much! This was very helpful. We are planning a trip in September.
maybe the name Labskaus comes from Germany but the dish is totally different! I grew up in Germany 🙂
scouse, lobscouse comes from the American whaling fleet. Primarily to Liverpool, and from there to seamen all over Europe. Scous was salt beef, cooked to pieces, with molasses and hardtack,. Lobscouse came later and included potatoes.
Fint krus! Hæstkuk og Fette Nais tyder på en viss tilknytning til Nord-Norge!
liquorish is buzzin in Finland, especially ice-cream, u should try salmiakki ice cream from Fazer.

Very interesting video, I’m going to Norway in June, can I get eggs that I can keep at room temperature? We are planning to do lots of hiking. So want to get some cheap proteins from grocery stores, any recommendations?
Hi, thank you! I had to look this up, and Matprat.no (a reliable source) said that eggs can be stored in the kitchen counter up to a week. If you are uncertain if they are still good you can put them in a bowl of water, if it floats it has stated going bad, but can still be used in omelets. Norwegian hens are considered bacteria free, so you don’t need to worry about that. Hope you have a great time here!

So cool! I love to see how people live or travel in different countries. My husband and I just moved to Japan, so I'm also just in the middle of a home transition myself and I love to see how life in other parts of the world is like ☺
Ohh How exiting! I lived in Japan, Tokyo, Adachi for 6 months and I loves it so much! Used to shop at Life✨ Japan have so much good food, I really miss the semisweet treats 🤤 where in Japan are you moving?
@@NorwegianRoamer Oh really?? Wow, nice! I used to live in Tokyo for two years as well, in Setagaya and Musashino-shi (near Kichijoji!). Now I'm back with my husband, who's Japanese, and we're living in Shizuoka actually :D It's quite different from the busy Tokyo life, but we like that a lot too! We're also feasting on all the good stuff here! I discovered cooking Japanese, which is also a new experience. The sweets aren't comparable with anything else right? I love senbei :D
@@kiraku_ni @kiraku_ni That sounds amazing! Tokyo is cool, but I honesly loved the country side it is so beautiful, I always recommend that people go outside the larger cites :)) It sound so fun, Senbei <3 I just moved to a island and it is so hard to find any asian food here, it's sad :((
@@NorwegianRoamer Yes, that's true! I think you can connect to a country much more by also visiting the countryside and by getting in touch with things that aren't so widely spread or connected to the city life! Nice video 😊 I'm a Finn living in Oslo, and I love Norway, but if there's a one thing that I miss from my home country is the grocery shops and their wide selections ❤ I think us Finns take our shop selections for granted tbh...
Thank you! Shopping was much easier in Finland, especially fruits and vegetables, I never bought something rotten. Sadly Norway has a repetition of having bad grocery stores :((
My son lived in same neighborhood (house next to yours) 2021-2022 when he was studying in Rovaniemi 😃
That was around the same time I was there, so we probably crossed roads! I loved the DAS appartments, had sauna two times a week <3
The ice cream says kuningatar (queen) on it, so it should be a mix of raspberry and blueberry. Kuningatarhillo/Drottningsylt is probably only sold in Sweden and Finland.
oh yeah you are right, I see it now! We actually have it too in Norway "dronningsyltetøy", so i'm just bad at reading haha
This was wonderful! Could you do a video on a potential itinerary?
Thank you so much! I will probably make a video I the future! :)
