The reason behind the negligible sound is i think new emissions norms and its a good thing sound is not too loud because it can attract fines by local traffic police . I think akrapovic has definitely worked on improving torque and bhp numbers with this exhaust.

That metallic sound is very normal on the 390. It kind of sounds like the 2013 model after the exhaust

You can cut that 2nd cat off. It's the part sticking off the end of the pipe that you inserted into the new exhaust. Right after the clamping area.

I'm cheap, I'd just cut the OEM stock box open and drill bigger holes in the baffles and weld it back up =P, that new one doesn't sound $$$$ better than the stock one

Might as well change the entire exhaust system since installation of this so called 'slip on' requires you to unbolt everything😅
