A good variety of Engines Mike !
Great upload on how to hook up a low-tension coil. Hi Mike! I stopped by and chatted with you Guys at Portland Thursday afternoon (8/22/2024). Liked, Subbed and shared.
Thanks. It was good to meet you. I hope to see you again next year.
good job explaining hook up, we got spark, compression and fuel engine will run
put together the new cart kit today. The new handle set up is excellent. Put me down for some kits for next year.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the video Mike. Interesting to know for sure for someone like me just starting out in the hobby. 👍
let me know if I can help in the future or any video suggestions.
Hi Mike do you trade or sell any of your oilers. Regards from the uk.
Cool Engine Mike ! I like the old brass gauge on it and what does it use for ignition?
hot bulb
Very nice thanks for sharing
Very nice, last pump I saw was on an Ohio!!
That is sexy. Never even heard of one.
I have been chasing one of these engines for 10 years now
Man you find some neat toys! Can't wait to see the revival videos on them! :)
Coming soon!

Hello, Out of curiosity; Is that an Eisemann magneto on you're Associated Pony?
I dont remember, I sold that engine a while back, sorry
The Holbrook looks a lot like a Gray or Termat Monahan.
it might be. without a tag who knows???? I was going by what the previous owner said...
Even cooler is the right angle drive unit on the H&A! Appears to be set up for a reciprocating drive (on both sides). Any more information on it?
it looks like a JD pump jack to me
Thanks Mike. Would love to find one like this. Very different than the run of the mill gasoline engines.
I was told there are 57 Meitz engines out there????
There is a large one that ran Norman Laboratories silent Movie studio only a 3/4 mile from me That engine ran power and pumped water for the complex.
any pics of that engine?
@@oilholeup1155 no I do not have any pictures of it Craig and I went and looked at it a few years ago
Thanks for sharing Mike
Congratulations on the new engines Mike !!
thanks. see you in portland?
Nice engines thanks for sharing Mike
Great looking Engines Mike especially the Diesel ..so would that be almost considered a hot bulb ignition?. I hope you bring it to a show so I can check it out. It looks interesting for sure ..thanks for posting
yes. hot bulb, torch start.
Beautiful truck!❤
my baby. thanks
I sure wish SloJoe’s economy was as good for me as what it is for you. Outstanding engines. Thanks for showing. Portland has got to be 1000 miles or more for you…must have had a low boy trailer to haul all of that gold that you “picked up” in INDIANA!
gearing up for Portland now. To me its worth the drive,
The green and silver engine is built by the Air Cooled Motor Company of lancing Michigan.
Very nice engine, that has all the Jake lines, nice find 😇🙏
Wish my 20 and 27 looked that good.
Cool! Looks like a good show!
Where are the ECM's mounted on these engines?
Thanks for sharing! I wish we had events like that up in CT

same here. lets meet again in Portland
That was a great show, looking forward to February, see you there Mike . Thanks for sharing
That's a big$$$ truck!
Model t's can be a money pit for sure
@@oilholeup1155 I'm saying that's an expensive truck. Probably 30-40k right?
❤
Seems there are quite a few old Reo reel-type mowers there! I had one similar to the one at 6:41, except it was a walk-behind, but it had the curved cowling in front of the engine. The reel was in pretty bad shape at the time, and I end up making one of my first go-karts out of the engine and belt clutch setup!😄👍
Cool. I never made my own go cart. The man that started the REO engines in our club was one of the biggest collectors in the country.
Have you ever used Bb’s in a fuel tank and shake the tank really well ? I have heard people doing this when they clean the founts on lanterns.
I used about 10 bucks in pennies in motorcycle tanks. Tape the cap on, tape the petcock opening up, then toss it in a dryer on "no heat" with a few pillows to wedge it fairly central. A few hours of tumbling scraped even the ugliest to raw steel
No I haven t Bo, I have always used Red Kote and it seems to work well
Thanks, I will try that when my wife is away
Thank you Mike! Great shows to wrap up 2023.
More to come!
Thanks for sharing! I've never been to shows like those - wouldn't even know where to look for one here in CT
I hope you can find one..
Great one Mike !
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
That's a pretty neat engine! Hope to see a video of it running at some point!
very soon..
Glad you are bringing it to the show looking forward too seeing it in person Thanks for sharing Mike
You bet
Thanks for the video! I'm new to this hobby and have enjoyed a bunch of your videos. I liked your carts 1&2 series. I have a Novo 3hp that I was running off a model T buzz box and a 6v battery pack (battery looks like the one in this video) It ran fine like that for a while, but now the spark looks like yours- pretty weak. I'll have to check the warmth of the wires and coil next time to see if my problem is similar to what you showed
Check your t coil condenser. It maybe getting weak and check your ground wire also.
Thanks - I suspect the condenser - tar inside is kind of "spattered" in that area. Luckily my wife bought me an old National Coil buzz box for Christmas to keep me going! @@oilholeup1155
