Having worked in the criminal Justice system for over 17 years I could tell you none of this is true. All jobs the inmates do are inside the prison walls they do stuff like cook for the other mates and clean up the buildings. No labor is forced. Most of the inmates beg to get a job while locked up.

Pure propaganda. If a Michael Moore movie came out today it would be destroyed in a minute. Folks are way more aware Today then they where when Michael Moore was in the spotlight.

Michael is dead wrong. The reason that crack got stiffer sentences than powdered cocaine was because leaders in the black community demanded it as crack heads committed violent crime to support their habit. In fact, when meth started to plague white rural communities, the citizens there also demanded stiffer sentences for meth because those people were committing crimes to. So the sentences for meth possession and crack possession were identical. It had nothing to do with the color of the users, as most meth users are white.

Prison labor takes jobs away from law abiding citizens and keeps wages low which stifles economic growth in America! Low wage prison labor is bad for the American economy. End mass incarceration. Legalize marijuana. End mandatory sentencing. Shut down private prisons. Stop low wage prison labor.

This has to be a farce. Seriously, this guy is nuts. His sarcastic tone is the biggest giveaway. He should be happy America provides three squares a day, clothes are their backs and a roof over their heads. AND they are learning marketable skills to use when (if) they are released. Do you want them just sitting around prison earning a degree on the back of taxpayers? You don't want to be in prison? Stop killing people!!! Stop Stealing and selling drugs and whatever the heck else you do to earn your way in. I see lots of Black people roaming free in the public, living law-abiding lives like the rest of us..... Slavery was all or none. Michael Moore is a hack.

I recommend seeing the whole film "Where to invade next ?" I like how Canada treats her people ( indigenous, Asian, exempted) but we can always improve.
