I would have preferred Jaime dying at Winterfell and Arya taking his face, then making Cersei think he’d come back to her and killing her in revenge for Ned Stark and the direwolf. They dropped the ball because they assumed the audience would cry for Cersei in this scene instead of want justice for the lives she destroyed so callously.

It's pitch black, you can't see a goddamn thing. You've got DRAGONS. Light them up with DRAGONS. Don't charge with CAVALRY at full tilt at something they cannot see, and completely without INFANTRY SUPPORT. But it's a siege anyway, why are you _sallying forth?_ You're in a castle, the best defensive position there is. Just stay behind your defences (that's what they're there for) and let the enemy come to you. Defensive positions are no good if they're BEHIND you.

Cersei is my favorite character in Game of Thrones. Cersei burns with a sinful passion that feeds on pain, and her every step, even if it's into the abyss, is always about love and power. All the characters do evil and cruelty for their own interests. Only Cersei is honest with herself that she does it for herself, her love and her children, and does not justify it with a “noble purpose”. Much better than Daenerys, this is literally a situation where the road to hell is paved with good intentions. And even after the genocide of the city, she believed that she was still following good goals and did everything right!

I finally watched this battle and honestly I'm really sick of directors imagining battle scenes with so many tactical errors. This cavalry charge really drove me crazy and the rest of the episode didn't make it any better. The only decent thing I found was the Night King using clouds, mist and winds to prevent the dragons from being fully used by the living.

Seeing Jaime you can see the regret in her eyes for not surrendering Kings Landing to Dany. Dying alongside Jaime and their unborn child is the true beauty of this poetic scene. Epic imo.

Arya should have milked her

Let's be honest they should have been able to wipe out the white walkers quite easily. The dothraki should have come in from the sides and the back. They should have used the catapults more, Should have made some wildfire. There are so many flaws in this battle. it's a total mess

I’ll admit, it looks cool at first glance: The Dothraki charging off into the black, their high-spirited screams echoing throughout the night, only the light of the blazing catapults revealing this silent enemy barreling down towards them. All of a sudden their valorous cries are replaced with screams of terror as they are overcome by what can only be described as a wall of shadow that grows larger with each fallen warrior. Silence falls upon the ears of those at Winterfell after witnessing the last torch get snuffed out. In the end though, it’s all kinda stupid.

People saying it should have been worse to her fail to realize the most important aspect of human-life. That even tyrants yearn for peace. And they may not even have a choice in their heart about their tyranny.
