Can you let me know which actuator does what? Which one pulls the sunshade and/or sunroof windows? I have an ex 2008 and i had to manually close the sunshade on the actuator in the back. But the button only lets me open the sunshade once again but not close it and it doesn’t let me open or completely close my sunroof. Do i need both actuators replaced? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
It won't let you close the sunshade because the control module can't confirm the glass is closed. Fix the rails first, it is unlikely both motors have failed. If you want to close the sun shade, you can power the connectors which you will find behind the overhead console. That will save you from pulling the head liner to manually crank the sun shade motor. After you have fixed the rails, hold the sunroof button in the up position, this will reset it and then you will have full use of roof and shade.
