    This past June 3rd.of 2023 had pleasure to be in a instructional lecture by a Taino Archeologist called Domingo Abrew Collado over the importance in saving the caves in Kiskeya, due to the growing preoccupation of the government with Guiana, using cyanide chemical to extract the little gold found in them, that made the country's Treasury in good sustenance during the COVID -19 pandemic and inspite of what the people there had to undergo in the labor market, with social distancing and so on. The caves are considered the sacred spiritual places for consultation to the opias, that the bejikis where in communication with, as we do so much in what ever we do, the spirits there are getting volunteers to guard the caves and even leave they're other ways of living to take care of them. All the caves from the islands are sacred and should be protected.

    It’s imperative that Puerto Ricans 🇵🇷 EDUCATE themselves about their own history: - Taínos occupied many islands in the Caribbean for over 3k years Considering that in the USA 🇺🇸 our history is often incomplete, inaccurate or non-existent. When it comes to Puerto Rico most Americans point of reference is “Westside Story”. 60 years later you get a remake with comments like “a movie about a bunch of illegals dancing in the ghetto!” Steven Spielberg made it clear that “the Jews made it out of the ghetto “, but failed to make it clear that Puerto Ricans were U.S. Citizens, since 1917. The story was written by Jews, was suppose to be a remake of Romeo & Juliet with Catholics vs Jews with Maria being a Holocaust survivor, but due to the antisemitism at the time, they made it about a divided between Catholics. Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 has been a USA territory since 1898. We all know that the USA 🇺🇸 will never teach us about how they acquired the island (the Paris Treaty) the 400 years (1493-1898) that we were a Spanish territory or the 3 thousand years that we were Taínos before European contact. How it was a crime to display or be caught with the Puerto Rican flag 🇵🇷

My sincere compliments on your magnificent collection of drawings, paintings and mixed media, effervescence of color, energy and visual rhythms. That said, the artist has been compromised in his presentation and disappoints by distorted video, distorted viewing of the work and most impactful, severe sound, image and erratic noise, that takes away from what could have been an extraordinary visual exhibition. Last but not least, where is it and how long will it be available.

    Why do they have them

    • @presenciataina1120
      @presenciataina1120 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Smithsonian organization has countless members of the ruling elite, and they do what they think they should do. Actually, Puerto Rico does not have the proper operational facility to properly care for these sacred objects. The UCTP worked with Ponce's elected official- Representative Victor Vassallo to utilize available federal dollars attached to the $800 Million dollar US Army Corp Engineers project damming the Portuguese River, which flooded the Caribbean's largest Indigenous Ceremonial Park- Jacanas. We hoped to develop a large educational research facility along the banks of the newly formed lake that would feature the necessary temperature/ humidity controls to house the artifacts under the correct conditions. The federal govt allows 10% set aside of federally projects affecting indigenous communities expressing desire to continue their cultural practices- by law. Unfortunately, the PR gov't didn't take our idea serious enough to act on it. Consequently they dissempowered us at the starting gate, while offering nothing of their own to create the proper repository to care for Boriken's Indigenous National Patrimony.

    • @JC-ji1hp
      @JC-ji1hp 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@presenciataina1120 Ah yes, of course! 50,000 artifacts that have managed to stay preserved/untouched on the island for thousands of years cannot be properly stored on the island. Not only that, but it is the PR governments fault because of their refusal to cooperate with the US govt. Isn’t PR a common wealth? Couldn’t the US easily establish a repository there if they so chose, and wouldn’t it make more sense anyway? These are the things that are only really beginning to be spoken about. It’s not about whether the objects are stored in an environment where they can last forever. It’s about taking objects *_that were never their’s to begin with_* and hiding it under the guise of it being a legitimate and fair trade off.

    “The “cult of aggression and violence” reigns supreme, and the prisons and insane asylums are full to bursting. Imperialism, colonialism, torture, enslavement, conquest, brutality, lying, cheating, secret police, greed, rape, terrorism-they are only words until we are touched by them. Then they are no longer words, but become a vicious reality that overwhelms, consumes and changes our lives forever. This is the disease, then, with which I hope to deal-the disease of aggression against other living things and, more precisely, the disease of the consuming of other creatures’ lives and possessions. I call it cannibalism, and I shall try to explain why. But whatever we call it, this disease, this wétiko (cannibal) psychosis, is the greatest epidemic sickness known to man. The rape of a woman, the rape of a land, and the rape of a people, they are all the same. And they are the same as the rape of the earth, the rape of the rivers, the rape of the forest, the rape of the air, the rape of the animals. Brutality knows no boundaries. Greed knows no limits. Perversion knows no borders. Arrogance knows no frontiers. Deceit knows no edges. These characteristics all tend to push towards an extreme, always moving forward once the initial infection sets in. From the raping of a woman, to the raping of a country, to the raping of the world. Acts of aggression, of hate, of conquest, of empire-building. Harems of women and harems of people; houses of prostitution and houses of pimps.” -Columbus and the Other Cannibals by Jack D. Forbes

    Heaven is home. Earth is a temporary stop. Joshua 24:15 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord

      hatuey was not boricua, he was a cacique from the island of haiti. he escaped that island to warn the people of cuba of the coming of the conquistador. he showed the taíno of caobana a basket of gold and jewels, saying: Here is the God the Spaniards worship. For these they fight and kill; for these they persecute us and that is why we have to throw them into the sea... They tell us, these tyrants, that they adore a God of peace and equality, and yet they usurp our land and make us their slaves. They speak to us of an immortal soul and of their eternal rewards and punishments, and yet they rob our belongings, seduce our women, violate our daughters.

      @@milogonzalez1334 I am of Taino lineage and Christianity has nothing to do with the word of God. I haven’t even mentioned Christianity. You assume all scripture are Christian when in fact Christianity was started long after the crucifixion and ressurection happened. The scriptures make it clear Gods eyes are always on the rainforest of the world and the people who endorse deforestation will be destroyed before all the forest are. It’s also clear that the forest will be destroyed before one word of Gods law is done away with.

      @@milogonzalez1334 For the land that you are entering to possess is not like the land of Egypt, from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and irrigated on foot, like a vegetable garden. But the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks in the rain from heaven. It is a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it,from the beginning to the end of the year.
