Talk To Me Direct: Lindiwe Mazibuko
What is it like to be South Africa’s first-ever Black, young, female Leader of the Opposition in Parliament? Lindiwe Mazibuko recounts her experiences.
In episode 7, Lindiwe talks about the double-edged sword that is digital technology and urges African voters to demand more from their elected representatives. She also talks about her love for Beyonce’s music!
After her term, and seeing that no other young, black politicians had succeeded her in that role, Lindiwe Mazibuko turned her attention to raising the next generation of African ethical leaders. At Futurelect and at Apolitical Academy, both of which she co-founded, she prepares Africa’s young people for careers in government or elected office.
