Hello! My name is Sergei and i have an old Honda Civic EK from 1998.
I dream to build the dream car from it, and post the video about finding solutions, that can be useful for guys like me.
Eventually I take part in simracing Esports, so maybe some gameplay content will be applied, or I will start a new channel for that.

Casually cruise through Sturup Raceway on my Honda Civic EK3. Gearbox and engine were not wery healthy, so I've tried to bri ng it home safely. Thats why I did not push even at 50%, but still had a lot of fun to drive there around other Hondas from Hondakluben and Honda Klub Danmark.

SimXPro® SXP Basic rig review | Cheapest aluminum profile simrig

During 2020 lockdown I started simracing experience. After getting fanatec clubsport pedals, I understood that i need a proper mount for them. I tried to design my own simrig from aluminum profile, but it was actually more expensive to get components than to buy rig from SimXPro. Here is a small review, I'm not pretending to be an expert simracer or expert youtuber :) enjoy!

Hola amigo dónde encontró el modulo para la conversión saludos desde Costa Rica
Hola, En Rusia. Para el nuevo motor encontré otro controlador en Bielorrusia.
where can i get that controller
this one I've got in Russia, I've seen some in western tuning websites, but MUCH more expensive. I know the guy in Belarus who makes such a controllers, and soon i'm going to make a new video about his controller working on B-series engine. The problem is that he does not have any website or so.

Ayudame a obtener ese kit
Skammeligt at Danske drenge skal køre helt over til Svenskens land for at give den lidt gas, Ved gud Danskens land er et taber land.
I see you're still responding to questions, did you have to buy brackets like Scarebird or anything? Or did they come with the kit? Just wanting to do the brake swap without having to get Integra trailing arms and all that, thanks man.
I've bought calipers, parking cables and hoses separately. Kit requires existing oem DRUM system. I don't know why nesessary drums but it was written on the manual or so. Basically, I removed everything of the drums, leaving only trailing arm itself with an axle, put a wilwood bracket on it on 3 bolts (one of them should be shortened by around 5 mills). And then wheel hub, rotor, caliper, hose and parking cable. Hope it makes sence.
Any recommendations on installing the parking brake? This is 100% the hardest part.
get a friend who will help you to hold it both sides in same time. Doing it alone is nightmare. Also a trick, you can unscrew an adjustment nut in cabin quite far, but just enough to keep wires holded. It also helps a lot.
@@engelcrown ok so I got them installed finally but there is a lot tension. Even when the parking brake is not pulled up it will holds the rotor in place did u have this issues too?
@@engelcrown did u have to adjust anything on the calliper itself
@@CHICKENBUD I had opposite - it was not strong enough to hold a car. You should change position of the brackets on the calipers. You can see there are a lot of tapped holes around, its exactly for that purposes. Its not easy to handle with it but possible
@@engelcrown I have my cables ran around the front of the trailing arm would that make a difference
Hello bro where did i buy socket for s2k gauge
Hi, if you mean bezel, I've got it on the same shop, but its way too expensive, you can find solutions on ebay. Otherwise I did not understand question
Great video!! It looks very good with the ek9 steering wheel :) Btw I have a problem in case you can help me- I also did a s2k cluster swap for my ek and it works fine the only issue is with the temperature it seems to go up when im in traffic and when im out of traffic and air is flowing the boxes go back to normal (2 or 3 boxes of temperature reading) do you have any idea why is that happening?
Hi, thank you. Honestly I still did not calibrated temperature gauge on this cluster yet, and sometimes it shows too high and sometimes too low. I tried many iterations of voltage values, but still not successful. Otherwise I don't know, what can happen in your cluster/sensor, sorry
@@engelcrown no problem man thanks for replying so fast :) if I figure this out I’ll let you know in case it works for you as well !!
@@nikosmpiniakos1715 did you figure it out?
yeah i too have this problem i contacted k tuned we got 52 emails why this is happening they got no clue also they have told me to run some tests and change ground wires but still got it, last year it was normal in 94 Celcius with ventilator activating i was getting the 4th light and then falling back to 3rd as i was tuned it this year now, at 92C i got all 7 lights, they keep insisting not to change the last value, but i saw 1 guy from integra forum and he changed the last value , i dont know what else to do
Thank you so much for the video
Just seeing this video now. Let us know if you need anything else in the future. Thank you.
Like I've mentioned in email, I need functional SRS lamp and somehow make kmh mode to be default when I start the car :)

Hi again, how is the kit holding up?? I found another one similar but I can’t find any reviews to it
I do not drive this car so much at the wintertime, but ignition works always fine
Hey I can’t find that kit anywhere any chance you can post a link?
Hi, this one is bought from Russia, so right now i don't think its possible to get it. But here is a link jtlabshop.ru/catalog/jtlab-coil-on-plug-kit
@@engelcrown hey I tried ordering it but it’s bringing me to a bunch of Russia deals and stuff is the website legit?
@@derekleffler1096 website is working for me right now. If you scroll down you can find their social media and contacts including phone numbers with WhatsApp. Before crisis they supplied these kits all over the world, so probably you can ask what can they do for you. @@engelcrown yeah they don’t ship over the border sadly, they called me back and that’s what they said..
You have to calibrate the temperature
Yes, and that is not easy
I bought the same harness but my dash converter plug is too small
if I understand what you mean, you probably should resolder harness to the plug which is going together with ccnverter. usually this is being done manually by end user, also for k-tuned converter. I'm just very bad in soldering and wwiring so I asked other people to do it for me.
Have Fun with your rig!
I would like to ask Bro from which country you got the harness conversion, I hope you reply as soon as possible so I could place an order. Many Thanks Bro.
the shop is somewhere in US. You better write them email and ask about availability
@@engelcrown many thanks for the immediate reply, I would like place an order of this harness but we need to know first their exact location so that we could start the process of ordering it on line, and also to use the ARAMEX as one of our options for shipping the Parcel. By the way from which country you are and do you have a facebook account? Already sent an email to the website in the description of your video.
Nice one! Are the coils from 7th gen d series? I would presume they are plug and play and don't need to be modified to enter the spark plug holes. I have a similar idea, but I plan on controlling them in the future with a standalone ECU with direct fire as I do not trust my own worn down dizzy to last much long especially after performance mods. Will go obd1 dizzy just for the ecu sensors that are gonna drive the standalone.
That’s also a good option to control them from ECU. I’ve just found plug and play kit, and already few years it works well
@@engelcrown Since i am running d14a4 with the crappy obd2-a i plan on going with Speeduino in the near future and only using an obd1 dizzy for the ckp and tdc sensors for the ecu. It will let me run sequential injection instead of batch with my current ecu and has option for controling 4 cop's with direct fire. Should run very smoothly once it's set up. Did you notice a difference in these 3 years? Ek3 i presume it's a d15z6 vtec-e engine. Like power wise, economy wise?
@@SusedatLubo in first time it was amazing gain in power on low rpms, later I’ve got used to it so now I can’t say, if it got worse after years. Fuel consumption did not change at all with this kit
@@engelcrown Aye, just low rpm torque and more consistent spark is amazing as it is for a daily. I see most people swap in k-series coils, but i would presume d-series coils do an amazing job too. Which engine did you get them from? Like do they have any differences between 7th gen 1.4 and 1.6 engines or are they the same?
@@SusedatLubo tbh i don't exactly know what they are from, but pretty sure, its 7th gen d17 or similar. I think they should be all the same for D series, if Honda did not any surprise.
I bought an S2000 AP1 Cluster in Dubai, just a few a days ago, I want to have the same socket wirings so I can do same you did with your car just plug and play.

Can I buy it in Europe? This kit ? Any idea?
before the war these guys were selling these kits all over the world, so may be when the war ends, they will continue to do this. otherwise try to search for somebody in Europe who does such kits, I`m sure somebody does it
Como chama o nome desce kit ai amigo pra mim compra aqui no Brasil ou emport
The wiring kit has a s2000 converter, do you still need the k tuned vss converter?
yes, but its not nesessary be K-tuned, there are a few cheaper products. You can order it together with kit already soldered in. If I understood the question correct :)
@@engelcrown do you maybe have a link for what i need?
@@Scoop859 Unfortunately they removed that adapters from their shop for some reason. Here is alternative modifry.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=233 or similar, check if it works with your car, or search on that shop. But if I were you, I would still buy k-tuned, for example on a4h-tech.com, its much easier even much more expensiver
@@engelcrown so the coverter that is in the wiring kit is not enough for the cluster swap?
@@Scoop859 wiring kit does not include converter by default. When I placed the order, I asked to solder k-tuned converter into it. You probably better contact this guys and ask what they can do for you. If they don't sell converters anymore, you can buy and connect it yourself.

havent you installed the brackets that hold the seat in a different orientation than sugested? I think you are bolting bracket to frame by the side ment to be to seat.
Because the seat has mounting holes on the bottom instead of the sides. That’s how it works for it. To get it more tilted, I’ve got another brackets from them, and it’s now even more weird. Btw it was Christmas holiday, when I posted question to their support and the answered in around one hour
Hallo where buy this part ?
Right now I dont think its possible to buy this kit, because I've ordered it from Russia. But I'm sure, its a lot of people all over the world who produce such kits.
Brather im close russia what is the price
Can I modify like this on my D15 Carburetor?
Theoretically yes, because this kits use stock distributor and its sensor, no matter of injection type.
@@engelcrown Oh thank you ;)
Hello I got the same install kit like your but after I install mine then most of the lights sign in cluster are showing and also my temperature are not reading. The only thing that works is the rpm mph, gas, and turn signal. Please help if you have any idea what could might be wrong or still haven't done.
Hello, I’m not an expert in all this wires and stuff, but if lights on battery, oil, check engine, parking brake etc did work on your stock cluster, it could be two problems: bad connection of the plugs, or lamps or something else inside the new cluster is not working. Probably you can check the adapter wires with multimeter, or write to the guys who made the kit. I’m sure, they know better, what could happen. Abs and srs will not work if you have not got plugs for it in the kit.
Thanks for the video. It is nice to see a cheap rig rather then the best and flashiest . Keep up the great work. I subbed

@@LJMRACING I’m sure it is. The beams where seat is mounted can be moved backwards, and pedals with wheelbase frame can be moved forward. Btw this seat is not available anymore, same as the rig, but you can get a seat with side mounts, it’s more comfortable to install and adjust position and tilt.
@@engelcrown thank you for taking the time to reply!
Hello, I happen to have the same steering wheel and bucket seat as you. I'm interested in this rig, what did you use to mount the bucket seat onto the rig, and what bolts did you use to hardmount the steering wheel? Thanks for the review
Hi. I can't find this model anymore on simxpro webshop, but i'm pretty sure, they a mostly similar. I recommend to buy seat mounts from these www.simxpro.shop/home/Seat-mounts-c53989078 so I did. But when I've ordered my rig, only one was available with not enough angle. I recommend to take that have bigger angles to tilt seat more backwards. Steering wheel base I've mount on standart TM clamp like on table. But this plate for base has a holes for many different existing bases, so you can bolt it from the bottomside. I just couldn't find mounting holes on my steering wheel base :D
