DIY Halloween Witches: How to make
Here are the links to some of the supplies I used and similar items:

How to:
Make a stand. We used leftover PVC pipes and a 4-way fitting to make a stand. We wanted life-size witches, so we made them tall-over 5.5 ft.
Make an upper body form. We used grocery bags that we had and tied them to the PVC pipes.
Make a lower body. We used a pool noodle that we cut in half and zip-tied to each side.
Make a dress. We used black plastic sheeting. We made life-size witches and wanted the dresses long to fit them, so we cut it over 8 ft. Drape it over the stand evenly. Check to make sure you like the flow of the dress. Pull together and zip-tie under the upper body.
Make a head. We used a pumpkin candy bin. We drilled a hole in the center of the bottom and placed it on top of the PVC for the head.
Make the head glow. We placed outdoor pumpkin LED lights inside the pumpkin head.
Make arms. We used black tablecloths for the arms. Wrap it around the neck and place them forward to the length you want. We kept ours long so they could hold hands.
Make it fancy. We added a cape in the back. We also added tulle fabric that draped over the entire witch and zip-tied it at the neck.
Add the witch's hat & We used a glue gun to keep them in place.
Make it sturdy. We placed leftover stone pavers and weights on the stands to make them sturdy and add support.
Do a happy dance! You did it! Be proud of your creation. Light those witches up.
Remember to try to use the items you already have in your home. I already had grocery bags, leftover PVC pipes, pool noodles, etc. You can get creative and do the same with other items in your home.
Supplies we used:
- Walmart candy pumpkin bin for the head
- Witch hats
- Glue gun to glue them to the top of the pumpkin
- Leftover grocery bags or an item you have to create a form for the upper body
- Pool noodles or any item you have to create a form for the lower body
- Dollar Tree black plastic tablecloths for arms
- Walmart tulle fabric
- Lowe’s large black plastic sheeting for the dress
- Black zip ties to keep everything in place
- Black duct tape to tape the cape to the back
- PVC pipe for the stand
- 4-way T-fitting to place the PVC pipe in
- Weights, bricks, or sandbags to hold your witches down
Let me know if you have any questions. I’d love to know if you try this!

How much tulle did you get?
11 yards with leftover. Depending on how you want to style your witches. I used about 3-4 yards on each
