I love that half of my all time favorite first memory Vocaloid MMD videos that I routinely come back to every 5 years or so are almost all songs that weren’t actually done by Vocaloid 😂 Because what better way to fall down SEVERAL VASTLY DISTINCT AND VARIED BUT WILDLY SPECIFIC RABBIT HOLES than a Japanese voice box idol dancing in a program you’ve never seen before to an amazingly catchy tune by a real j-pop band you’ve never even though to exist outside of maybe the one or two anime op/ed you’ve been exposed to??

I first saw this somewhere between the date it was uploaded to May of 2012. I was 12 and most of the way through 6th grade when it was released/when I watched it. I’m pretty sure that it was actually my introduction to Perfume, VOCALOID & MMD. I still love all 3 of those to this day and I’m 23. This video will be turning 11 years old in 2 weeks!! I’m forever grateful to have become a weeb in middle school during the Early 2010’s. I wish we could go back to this time… 🥺
