Merci beaucoup de votre commentaire car d’une manière générale je m’attache à respecter la sémiologie (sans y être totalement servile compte tenu de la tradition chorale que j’ai eue la chance de recevoir, héritée des maîtres de chœur de Solesmes). Quels sont plus spécifiquement les neumes dans cette interprétation sur lesquels vous pensez à une interprétation différente ? Merci beaucoup !

Je viens de réécouter mon enregistrement je n’ai pas noté d’erreur d’interprétation des neumes mais n’hésitez pas à m’en faire part si vous en identifiez une (je ne suis pas à l’abri de tenir une note de temps en temps un peu plus longtemps que ce que le manuscrit indiquerait !).

​@@latingregorianchant à l'écoute, il me semble que les notes isolées (virga et tractulus) sont traités comme des brèves (en croche comme l'interprétation commune selon la vision rythmique de Solesmes). Mais tout dépend de la valeure que l'on assigne à ces neumes. En principe virga et tractulus désignent la même valeure longue (simplement longue). Par contre, vous marquez bien le doublement des épisèmes et c'est très appréciable d'un point de vue respect de la sémiologie : on ne peut plus soutenir de nos jours (même avec Dom Cardine) que l'épisème n'est qu'une nuance d'agogie et un simple ritardando. Sur les clivis on ne perçoit que 2 brèves alors que la graphie de St Gall et même de Laon laisse percevoir une alternance brève-longue (on a un punctum relié à une virga). Marquer la valeur longue de la virga, comme mettre en valeur l'accent musical des clivis à intervalle de tierce sur les mots "allelúia" me semblerait plus indiqué. Vous ne faites pas les répercussions ce qui est dommage d'un point de vue sémiologique (même Dom Mocquereau plaidait pour leur réalisation !). Sachant que vous chantez seul, c'est encore plus indiqué de repercuter les strophicus et les pressus (sur "iustitiam" les deux notations sont sans équivoques sur la nécessité de repercuter le pressus : la virga du pressus est même épisémée). Au tout début de la psalmodie sur "Salvabit" on ne perçoit pas la longueur du pes anguleux qui invite à faire deux notes longues. Peut-être est-ce involontaire ? (On a beau avoir les neumes sous les yeux, une distraction est toujours possible).

Thanks for your feedback! No there is no difference. Yet one very important thing to remember: various pieces of the repertoire, from the graduale book to the antiphonale, all have there specificities. They almost all are, basically, antiphonae which can be followed by the chant of psalms. For introits it is very clear. Same for graduale, offertorium, communio. While the melody of the psalms in Gregorian is more in the « Norm » of each mode. You hear systematically the same Melody (only the end can vary : f, g etc.). The gregorian pieces of the Mass can have a lot of variations and a very unique identity, Even if they were written with the standards of a given mode. Hence the importance of identifying the intervals before singing them, to really enter the unity of their melody driven by their mode: minor (v.g. re - mi - fa) / or major (v.g. fa - sol - la).
