I have a whistle in the engine area when I accelerate and when I stop accelerating the whistle goes away. Could it be the hose? or the turbo

would you happen to know if yours has a DPF? there seem to be two versions of the 2L tdci and mine looks exactly the same as yours. the other i believe has another tube next to the one you replaced.

Hi, been losing power sporadically, and then days later power came back. Noticed a whooshing sound, is this a turbo issue or pipe? When turbos go they usually go do they not? Can't see any cuts on main intake pipe

What’s the symptoms of this leaking. I have a 2.0TDCI Kuga and under load in higher gears I can get a high pitch whoosh/whistle/screech that to me sounds like boost?

Hi my car is lacking power really bad I have plugged a obd in it’s has bought up fault codes 0299 and 2263 just wondering what codes did your car bring up

Just did mine on a 2009 tdci lv and got the hose on ebay and delivered to my door from the u.k for $70 AUD :) It seems there is a 2.0 l tdci volvo and peugot that share this same pipe design...hope thats of help to anyone in the future.. 3M516C646YH is the part number. Ford wanted over $300 here in Aus :O

Great video, I'm having the same problem. I love my 2010 Ford Focus Tdci 2.0 hatchback, and just reached 50K KMS, pretty low for a 12 year old car.

You can get a similar turbo whoosh sound if your exhaust is holed by the rear silencer...Ford Main dealers missed this!....

Mate this isn't a small crappy video. What you share is golden information. I have this sound too and was worried about my turbo. I've just bought the car. It has the whooshing sound and I've not been able to find much about it until I found your video. That helped me look for the right part and find more videos of people fixing them. So thank you!

What are those handlebars?

If there is a hole simple diagnostic test would point to issue bcs MAP value in kPa would't go up, no pressures build up when loosing the pressure

Hi, I would gently know how much loud this whooshing is. I hear something similar that over 2K rpm, and my mechanics changed hose intercooler, but I feel like nothing's changed, neither the whooshing nor the power...May this weak whooshing I hear be normal? Many thanks

Looks like the old one was rubbing. Maybe slap some duct tape on the replacement to stop it doing the same. Glad you saved some hard earned cash!

I assume this is baffles removed? any view on whether to leave them in or take them out?

Hi. The whistle was on low or high RPM? My car started to whistle yday but I only can hear it on low RPM. Perhaps the engine noise. .. Thanks!

OlyV, Thanks for the video. I just did my Arrow 2:2 on Friday and had Triumph remap it on Saturday. It sounds really good and really loud (Baffles Removed) however at first Start Low Idle it struggles. When they mapped it they did so with the baffles in and it was weird like the bike was choking, Out it breathes but struggles. Any Ideas? Can you advise me some. Should I take it back and have them do it again. Also the throttle response is different. I Can see how good it could be, It even handles better in corner with the lighter weight. Glad I did this But lol... Thanks for the time and consideration. Cool Vid
