Now that you mentioned it about the scenarios where the needed NetNavi does the thing that we needed is complicated. Like in the case of the turrets, Knight Man does help because of his bulky appearance but Magnet Man is just because he can use a Magnetic Shield. Gyro Man on the clouds because he is an helicopter but Shadow Man has "special ninja shoes". Napalm Man because kaboom but Tomahawk Man wasn't necessary if Colonel already does big slashes in cutscenes. I can't say that much on the Castle's dungeon and scenario but Search Man is better. And I preferred Medi.

Add this to the list of videos that make me want a BN MMO. Such a game could even run very well on phones, and it could even use the real world like Pokemon GO. In this case that could be very cool, PC version etc. you just jack into the net from home, with a phone you can try jacking in other places players/the devs have set up. I could keep rambling but the game basically writes itself in so many ways, not to say there wouldn't be major challenges when it comes to reinventing the progression and exploration of the net, how scenarios come into play across different places etc., co-op content such as liberations would be crazy, the sky is the limit. Kinda unrelated, but depending on just how hard it is, I might eventually make a rom-hack that plays more like the classic series/Demons' Souls/Metroidvanias in some ways, very non-linear and tools vs. problems oriented. I guess I'd wanna make it so great players can get though most things without crazy counters, but I'd want the players to very much notice the difference. Luckily the 1st step is fun, easy and non-committal, just play the games an absurd amount to explore things like counters to leverage in my design. Even if it turns out it's too much of a learning-curve and/or hassle to put together a rom-hack, I wanna do this anyway.

I'm not into speedrunning myself AT ALL, but MMBN is one of those game series that makes me wanna study how people do their speedruns. I'm 100%ing the Legacy Collection 1st (Assuming I can find the trades I need once I'm ready for that), but while I don't like speedrunning, Axiom Verge has an achievement that resonates with something I always loved doing: Low%. Basically, I figure out a short list of very specific drops and mystery data I want, and I try to find several options to adapt to RNG. This 100% run I got a crazy F folder going very quickly, and it steamrolled all of the hardest places LONG before most would go there, just like how I'd very quickly pump offensive stats to meet dmg thresholds for some sequence-breaking in Dark Souls. Seriously recommend an F folder btw., FireTowr is the most fun chip that has a million different uses. Hate flappies? Well, with some timing, you will absolutely destroy them with a single chip. That's the tip of the iceberg with this chip, just do a run with a bunch of these, FireMan3, Heater and whataver else F code you can get your hands on (The Bass chip is F too!), the utility if crazy once you get some experience with it across all the different kinds of fights. Airhockey is super fun, for example, but while this chip is much more balanced, it's so much more fun and interactive. To elaborate, you use the FireTowr so it hits just as the flappy is about to make it's last jump, it can then land on top of another tower, then it'll attack you, and you're standing on a tower. All the viruses that drop FireTowr, AquaTowr, WoodTowr, Sword, Invis, Auras and their counterparts, unpredictable navis, using FireTowr right counters so much of the game. Gotta sweat to get them though to Sharkman sometimes, though, luckily those Heater, FireMan and Bass chips make short work of him alongside a few opportunistic FireTowr hits, easy to land one at the start as he's always the center fin. 44:38 My man
