I had a 1974 450 Desmo. From the same left hand side, I always used to kick start it with my right foot from completely off the bike. It afforded greater positional stability stroke, & force than using the left foot body English as illustrated here. Although it could be started with the left foot as seen here, it was harder to do so. If they ever stalled in traffic, it was impossible to restart with the left foot from the seated position. Had to get off the bike, place it on the centre stand and kick. Quite the spectacle to the annoyance and endangering impatience of any drivers immediately behind you, so you had to be quick and practiced about it.
Thanks for the comment. I have a 74 350 DESMO and 75 450 Mk3. I'm kicking with my right foot. The person in the picture is 80 years old. He is still going strong and riding his Ducati.
@@gruppors1984 Kudos to the 80yo. 👍 I had a mate who had the 250 Desmo at the time I owned my 450 Desmo. Mine was a '74 450 Desmo Mk III long since sold on. Don't miss anything about it except the nostalgia factor. My rides today are an RGV250T & RG500Γ which eclipse every factor about the former. Both (RH) single (hot) easy seated kick kick start only, but without the compression or starting drama of those Ducati singles. Don't even have to use that on the 250. It bump starts just as easily.
That's where, in the 60's the Japsnese made motorcycling ss easy as can be..........with easy starting engines !
Fascinating classic 60’s ‘water cooled’ CB72/77’ style bike; 21st century engine design. Hey! No sign of my absolute favourite Benly CB92, C92,72,77 Dream??? Honda should remake a ‘celebratory’ few 1000 of these, they’d sell out in minutes👍👍😂
J’ai possédé une 350 desmo entre 1970 et 1971 Si différente des motos japonaises de l’époque Je vois que des japonais ont fait une prise de guerre !😅
Way ahead of it’s time, as were all their ‘Dream’ range back then; brilliantly styled and engineered, dare I say Japanese Works of Art. Thanks Honda

Modern 125's are subject to a bhp restriction [at least here in the UK] for learner riders. In addition that would never get through modern noise and emision regulations

Lack of fins, I think it must be some kind of dohc liquid cooled four.
I think it's a modern engine in a classic frame, 250 or 400cc.
Maybe it's an oil cooler...
At 2 minutes in, it appears to be a water cooled Super Hawk.
With 4 Cylinders.

I had a 250 MkIII in 1971; ten years later I bought a Honda CB 250RS ( I have a thing for single-cylinder motorcycles). I liked the Honda better than the Duke and I think the Honda would have been quicker . Interesting video.

125cc, 4-stroke and 15 horsepower in 1960! That's better than most 125cc's today - pretty fantastic. If only Honda would start making this particular model again ... :-)
Most British 250s at the time only produced 14-17 bhp with few exceptions.

平成３年ごろ、千葉県君津市を営業で回ってる頃、新日鉄君津製作所の寮の自転車置き場に、これと同じカラーのＣＢ92が「置きっぱなし」状態で、錆が出て来ていて、暇があれば「オーナーさん探せないかな」「どうにかならんかな」と思っていたことを思い出しました。どうなったのかなあ。
