I am not a mechanical person so I don't know is is the engine supposed to sound a lot like that? Is that the engine make that noise? Or is that that belt making that noise?? I'm asking that question because I called earlier and you guys pointed me here. But my timing belt just went out and that my engines kind of sounded loud like that right before it went out but I don't know the different sounds that's why I was wondering if that's the engine that's kind of loud or is that just like the belts or is that the normal sound? I was kind of hearing tick noise before my timing belt went out. Anyhow, thanks for responding. I appreciate it I'm David by the way. BTW the vehicle doesn't look that bad do you mind me asking why it's there in a salvage lot or what happened to it? Was it water damaged or rear ended or?

I have a 1995 Tercel, recently brought 2 weeks ago. Same engine, 241,000 miles. Did a full tune up, changed the fuel filter, airfilter, wires, plugs, pcv valve & coils. This engine will not die! Excellent vehicle I put a cup of water on top of the engine & " the water didn't spill over ". Extremely smooth ... Reliablility is excellent!!! ❤

What is the purpose of this video?

Have a 2004 with 170,000 miles on it, a high maintenance engine that can be dependable. Unfortunately notorious for rotting out.

As with other video, be nice if tapped the throttle to see if other noises... smooth, heard little tappet sounds.. as long as they did not get louder or went away a worthy engine..
