My man! This is exactly what I have been looking for; FX30 and the 50-400 Tamron. I'm thinking this might be the perfect combo for video while overlanding Africa in my truck. Do you think the firmware has been improved since you made this video? Or should I wait for your 150-500 video before investing?? Cheers from over here!

Great work, Ben! The shots are really amazing. I was just curious to know if the ZV-E10 would output the same quality with this lens. Also, as it has been two years, I wanted to check if there are any other lenses that can surpass this at the same 18-300 eq. Anyway, great video!

Thank Ben for stating that the stabilization of this lens is bad for video especially at 400mm. I'll skip it

Beautiful footage

I have the same lens, do you feel under bright sun light the detail washed out on white color. As compared to under the shade. Eg. The white color on birds and sea waves.

Does this lens have a power (motorized) zoom, or is it manual to change focal length ?

Can i use it with sony a6400? I am planning to buy but afraid for autofocus. I am planning to buy 24mm because of crop (24×1.5=36mm) I want wide as much possible. I want your opinion!

Why dont you zoom in or zoom out when shooting the video? Why do you hide the fact, that it can not be done smoothly with this lens?

Hello Ben, I'm considering to buy this lens in the near future. I also really enjoy your sports videos. Do you think it would be achievable to shoot sport with this lens to at least similar quality to your videos? I would be using the Sony ZV-E10 which doesn't have an IBIS but it has the electronic image stabilization instead.

Hello! What is the best or not expensive Vnd filter for tamron 18-300mm sony for video. I bought a k&f concept nano-d but when I zoom out to 200-300 mm the video is very noisy. Thank you for your response.

I thought you were not supposed to use a full frame lens with an apsc a sensor camera because you don’t get the f1.9 but sound f3. Not to mention u get a shorter focal length .

Can I make best quality feature film for theater with this camera and lens sir ?

I have an A6000 and after 8 years it's almost dead, Viewfiner doesn't work, doesn't recognise the lens have the time. Anyway I have the 55-200mm Sony lens and all I photograph is wildlife, everything from Hummingbirds to Frogs. Would love to know if 18-300m is the next step up for me and also what new body should I get? The 55-200 doesn't cut the mustard anymore, it's crap aperture and just not crispy at all. People are suggesting A6400. My budget is around 1k USD.
