The camera and controls feel smooth, though they’re a bit unusual-I can’t decide if that adds to the charm or needs a tweak! I did encounter a bug where I fell off and didn’t die, so my character just wandered under the obstacles, but hey, bugs are part of the learning process, right? The fact that you not only finished something but did it so quickly is inspiring-I’ve been working on my first project for over a month, and seeing your progress motivates me to keep pushing forward. Great job, and I’ll be keeping an eye out for your next project!

It's fantastic to find videos like this and connect with others on the same path. I jumped into the exciting (and sometimes overwhelming) world of game development a while back, trying to learn my way through it. Every time I sit down to work on something, it’s a challenge-but seeing the results is incredibly rewarding. Wishing you the best on your journey, and I'll definitely be following along!

Not bad congratulation, the only thing that I would change are the jump voice sounds ... I would make them softer, almost like whispers. About Metahumans, not sure which version you use, but in Unreal 5.5 it's possible to change the LOD of metahumans (they can be smaller than 200 mB). Btw, I'm also an absolute beginner with Unreal (started last week with it), one of my main rules for my games is an option to change the button configurations ... I was never a fan of WASD and Space for jump.

Can I suggest 2 things? - Share a screenshot of the compile error you are getting so we can try to help you solve. Check out this site on how to reduce your game file size. (you should be able to get it much smaller than 1Gb. )

Hi Ernesto, I saw your games file path in your CMD, From my guess your troubles with exporting your game, came from the fact its in Onedrive, I have had so many issues with Onedrive surrounding Dev work, so maybe look into that. Great video man, keep it up

I am in the process of doing the exact same as you actually. I am 15 and making my first game in unreal engine for fun and to learn the process. For uploading to itch, instead of using butler or putting the link in, you can add a custom link and it can be any size. My file is also 1.5 GB so I created a github release which can be up to 2 GB and is free and I just got the github download and put it in itch so when you download it on itch as normal, it does it through github. Also do you have like a discord server or something?

I really enjoyed the game. It has its issues but its crazy knowing how far you’ve come from start to end. Appreciate the shout out. Was a frustrating time but was good to find a workaround and we kept in good spirits for the 3 hours it took so that made it easier :) cannot wait see what you do next :) kingboars

i'm in the same ride as you man, i recently began to use unreal to start my dream game, but obviously i cant do it rigth away, so i will just split my game in different tiny proyects, to learn the engine and learn how to do it rigth. I've been practicing and testing with unreal since 3 or 4 month now and i can see the improvements, keep up man, we can do it!
