Update?
Hi guys I hope u are both fine Saw the pic on fb of the tree with the beautiful flower I'm wondering if it set fruit or not Thanks Jes
I am confused , after the first week when you put them back in the fridge , do you over them up again ? Or leave them open
Tyvm for sharing! ❤
this is great, blueberry bushes are too expensive and we buy frozen berries all the time. i hope this works for us too
Thanks for the comment. Wishing you luck.
Depends on climate I've started many plants but after a few months they seem to die off out in California high desert
@@livramos2292 thank you for the input

Need a update please! Also, once you see the first set of true leaves 🍃 you need to remove the cover and keep it off otherwise you will loose them . They will turn white and dampen off!

Any updates on the Cherry Tree’s?
The tree is now about 3 feet tall (hurricane took off some when a tree fell on it) but the good news is we got one blossom this year. Thanks for your comment!
If you have X/Twitter, x.com/EJS08026749/status/1791849866903093429 has a picture of the tree just taken today! Also can be seen on FB facebook.com/AndrewAandJPEITreasures/posts/pfbid032SaKohDYQKPpn5J1cERbVHihsq4GdLuBS8Ms1u32YfwBUxRpoH2EXFVSyVkqwk65l Thanks again!
Thank you for the update!!
I wish you would name the stitches
Thank you for your comment. When I started crochet, I was taught by my mother. I didn't actually learn the name of stitches. I use mostly the simplest stitches.
Inside boards vertical. 4 x 31" 4 x 25 1/2" 2 x 19" 2 x 12" It's hard to follow the measurements.
2 x 12" 2 x 19" 2 x 31" 4 x 25 1/2" 4 x 30" 7 x 29" Is this the measurements you said???
It said on paper 7 -29" 1- 26" 4- 31" 4- 25 1/2" 2- 19" 2-12" Not clear where 26" goes? You also said 1- 31" when you were pointing to boards and saying what they were but not say anything about 26" one. A little confusing.
I liked the design.
Based on this video, I'm pretty sure I killed my seeds and have to start over again.
Sorry to hear that.
Thank you ❤I'm going to make some today
Happy New Year!!! 😁
How did you figure out the circles?
Thanks for asking. Size I eye-balled it. I thought the size was about right. Paper template for the circles.
@@aandjpeitreasures thanks that is what I’m doing. Good luck
After smashing a few seeds I came up with this method ! Put the sharp end of the pit against the wheel of a bench grinder in a few seconds a small hole will show in the pit. Using a nail clipper clip the pit away using this hole as an entry point. Did over a dozen in less than 5 minutes with no damage too seeds !
I use a metal bar as a rolling pin and a confined tray. Rolling hard enough to break shells but not the seed. Sure I get broken seeds in the mix but it sure is faster to throw a hundred pits in and get more than 3/4 back in viable seeds within a few minutes rather than sitting around all day with pliers. ( I once used that mind-numbing method).
Hello can I use a.number ,4ply yarn
You would have to know what adjustments to make to the pattern. Size of yarn will influence size of product. Sorry, I can't be more help. Thanks for your comment.
I freeze cherries with the pit. Can I use the pits to plant next spring?
We have only grown cherries the way we showed in the video. We cannot speak to other methods. I guess there is nothing to lose by trying. Good luck!
OOOHHH Awesome beauty💥, thanks very much A & J PEI Treasures
Thank you!
Nothing but, just beautiful.
Thank you!
❤❤❤❤
At the end where you pull through three stitches, do you do this in only two rows or all the way through?
All the way on one end only. Thanks!
@@aandjpeitreasures Thankyou for answering so quickly.
❤
Very confusing you are and sloppy
I've just done them I'm a beginner and I love them they turned out just perfect the first one not so amazing but the second one briilliant thank you soo much Lord bless you ❤️😇🙏
Can I just direct see the berries in a thin layer of soil before the last frost date?
that I have never tried. I have started apple seeds by putting them under a bit of soil before the ground froze and in the spring they popped up. Give it a try and see if in the spring any start to grow. You have nothing to lose except a few blueberries.
any updates?
Plant was still doing ok in late fall. It had grown to about 4 tall. Then a late fall hurricane knocked over a popular tree and it just barely hit the cherry tree. so the 1 foot of new growth this year got broken off. tks for asking.
@@aandjpeitreasures ahh thats sad to hear :/. it will grow big, i believe in it! haha
Great content man, I feel you on this 👍!!! Get to know the secret > 'promo sm'.
Can you use it with leaves?
The shredder is designed to be used with tree limbs and not leaves. Thanks for watching my video.
@@aandjpeitreasures Thanks for replying. I really appreciate it.
thank you. the counting and sizing will help i just can't tell if they are stretchy?
I would suppose it would depend on what yarn you use. What I used, they were.
Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful video!!! Very pretty love it ❤
Thank you so much.
I tried using fresh berries.only 2 survived out of 30 plus. I keep observing /amending soil ph using sulfur powder.
Thank you very kindly for this awesome video. It’s one that I was really curious about. I’m sitting right now with some really lovely cherry pits, and was thinking what a shame it would be not to produce progeny from them. By way of giving back, when a person has sprouted seeds, if there’s a danger of mildew or mold, sprinkling a little bit of gelatin on the soil will prevent mould from growing. Some people swear by putting a little cinnamon on the foliage. I would not do this before the seeds sprouted and grown a small bit, however, because it could interfere with the actual sprouting. Edit: A few weeks ago, a cousin of mine Mentioned that she sometimes she’s mildew starting to grow on the house plant soil, particularly when she’s got a ceiling going that needs to be kept a little more moist. Her solution is to spray a little hydrogen peroxide on it, other variety that you get from the Pharmacy or even dollar store, assuming that there’s nothing else in the bottle but actual peroxide at about 3% concentration. I did try that and it works beautifully.
You can also sprinkle a little cinnamon powder over the seeds to prevent mold and mildew. I also didn't strip the coating off the seed once I got it out of the pit and after close to two months in the 'fridge (for cold moist stratification), the seeds are swelling and at the point of soon germinating.
@@johnifly : Tyvk 4 this comment! Very useful info. :)
The new colours you put together go well. We'll done!
Thanks
See around 49 seconds into the video for how we broke the cherry pits open....apparently there are other techniques...this is the one we used. We try to show all steps in our videos. Thanks for your replies and interest.

Hello friends, I have watched your video about wild blueberries, your video is very good and I have subscribed, I am interested in planting in Indonesia, can you send me the blueberry seeds, I will pay all the costs, thank you
We do not sell seeds. You would be best to seek a source in your home country. Exporting and Importing seeds is regulated in Canada. Regulations here: laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/s-8/page-1.html
So if you plant the whole cherry it won’t work?
After watching a few videos they all only used the seed, which is why I only used the seed, so I am not sure if using the whole cherry will work. Give it a try and let's us know if it does work. Tks for watching our video.
this video helped me so much !! Thank you!I am gonna like this video for shure!
You only need to cold stratify them for two weeks total? I thought it was two months
It's going to bear next 10 years.
Cherry trees need a pollinizer. Except for , I believe a Lapins cherry tree. You will have to know what kind of cherry seed you planted and then research a pollinator. They don't pollinate themselves or even another of the same type.
Goal was just to see if they would grow at all. We have other cherry trees. Thanks. Sorry, I'm not the usual poster. I leave the planting etc, up to hubby who is right now not feeling well.
@@aandjpeitreasures Thank you for your info, I understand it was an experiment, I just wanted to give a head's up to anyone trying this to the point of actually growing cherries, so they could choose the right ones to start. God bless!
My neighbor came over and asked me to get some trees started from cherry pits. Glad I found your video! Thanks.
Makes me wonder how such a plant actually managed to germinate in the wild, it probably would've died out without human intervention.
or it was to do with humans that make is so hard for the seed to start.. Maybe a thousand years ago it was a weed growing in some swamp and we came along and changed it into what it is today. Anyway, my cherry tree survived the winter and looks good this spring. Tks for watching the video.
I wonder if you put that seed pod into a vise if you could have a little more control than them vice grips
At least you buy the vise grip brand name not a Chinese knockoff you're a good man.
If a tool works a tool works. These vice grips were found on the highway and were hanging nearby when I needed a pair to bust the pits open.
You take a pair of vice grips
Looks Very Nice. I’ve never made one. And I’m trying to find a video that has detailed instructions without skipping to the next step or to the end. So I have to ask after you have the 2 out strips held what would the measurement be for the others? Thanks Again Sir! 🤝
For the 5 verticial. strips. Place the 2 outside strips about 31 inches apart (strip 1 & 5). The middle one is centered between them (strip 3) and then measure between the outside and middle strip to find the center of that side and that is where each of the other 2 strips go (strip 2 & 4). And I sure once you start putting it together you will be able to figure it out.
@@aandjpeitreasures Awesome Thanks Bud! Well Said. I’ll Definitely Give That A Shot! 🤝
Looking foward to trying again to grow blueberries. My sister live in Oregon she got lots of plants in her backyard. I tried already planting seeds outside. No luck. Theni watched some persons video to harves seeds from store bought. I guess i did it wrong cuz it didnt get any roots. I love your idea. Thank you. It is probly best to start indoors. So xcited you have blueberries in your container. Great job.
Hee, blueberries most often need 'wintertime' to sprout. If you put them on a moist towelpaper in a ziplockbag and put that bag in the frigde for two months, than they might sprout when you plant them :) maybe you'd already tried that but in case you didn't know that technique yet, I wanted to give you the idea :)
