They are 3 LEDs each in a strip about 80mm long with rounded ends. I think they were purchased from ebay but I can''t see any for sale that match them.

Hi - the rear spoiler is based on an old Celica part but I've added lots of fibreglass to make it bigger. The whale tail on the car now is a bit bigger than the one in the vid.

It's an Imex copy kit from ebay, Lodz Poland but I did modified it.

Yes I think it was styled with soft passive curves for a certain market. I wanted it to look a little more aggressive like an older Soarer. The vid is a bit out of date, the rear spoiler has more tail lip to it now and looks much better.

@@neile5558 Well you are a big reason why I'm considering getting one. You got the car looking tough with that spoiler and kit, and I can only imagine how much better the car looks with the new spoiler.

Thanks, yes perhaps, though maybe not as wild as this one. I think it's the front styling of the car that most people have issue with.

🤣 It occasionally 'catches out' the odd compact BMW driver too and others say the spacing should be changed to X lOUT.

Thanks, the car has been updated with new wheels, hifi, sat nav etc since the video. The spoiler is now slightly bigger with a bit more tail end shape.

It would be cheaper to buy the car off me. 🙂More than £21k has been spent on modifications, paint and upgrades but I would estimate that a similar result could be achieved for between £12k and £15k if you don't re-paint the whole car. It also depends on how much you can do yourself. The car has been improved since the video with new wheels, improved rear spoiler, sat nav screen/obd display, etc and it's still only worth say £8-9k so you have to accept its a costly fun project.

@@neile5558 I think it is worth much more then 8-9k. In the US they go from $8-30K based on millage and cleanliness.

@@durdicamac9662 It's a lot more fun than a standard SC but owners in the UK don't tend to like the extreme modification or high mileage however well maintained the car is so in the UK it's probably worth £6k now.

Watch the longer vid with the resonators deleted, it sounds deeper.

Yes the oem air filter is best. It's easy to buy a replacement antenna mast from Lexus. There are lots of tutorials on the Lexus forums for how to fit the mast into the aerial body or just replace the whole unit. Read 'a darker shade of grey' on Lexus World and you can see how I did the rear cam, brakes and the custom steering wheel. There are good examples of similar work on clublexus in the US too. 28 bhp upgrade according to the dyno figures but the car was running rich at the top end on the day. Tester said it was good for at least 317 bhp. The car has been improved since.

@@neile5558 I want one. Just worried about the rubber timing belt instead of a chain like my Camry. If that rubber timing belt fails, you've lost your engine.

@@davefox7516Selling this one soon. No worries on the belt, they are more reliable than chains, you just replace the belt (OEM) every 100k miles with the water pump. Owners often do a full cambelt service before selling or on purchase.

The kit is simply an Imex style fibreglass kit from Poland, still available, not expensive to buy but as you can see in the vid and on the LW forum, I did modify it a fair bit. If you look on the forum the car has changed a little since I put this up.

It may not show clearly in the pictures but although the car was pretty straight it had a lot of minor paintwork scratches to the bodywork and the wheels. Exhaust trims were rusted, one missing. It was always going to need a complete respray.

The rear spoiler was made from an early 1990s Celica. Check the lexus-world thread for the latest info on the spoiler as it is bigger than before.

The kit was supplied from Poland. It's based on an IMEX replica which I then modified.

Thanks there have been a few updates to the car since this video was put together including some new, more modern design wheels, better head unit and a larger rear spoiler. The car can be seen on Lexus-world, LOC and clublexus.

Thanks - see you on the forum. I have spent some serious time and money on the project and of course it's moved on a fair bit since this video was made. New wheels, head unit, rear spoiler, Ipad integration, OBD it continues to evolve....

It's a one off, stainless steel custom exhaust with PPE headers modified for a rhd SC430, 3rd cat delete to Y piece merge pipe then split to straight pipes that go back to a large centre silencer where the pipes cross and exit to dual twin ovals. The header components were imported from the US and a UK specialist took 4 days to fabricate and fit them. There are more details of the build on Lexus World. Fairly easy to copy on a lhd car but very expensive to replicate on a rhd model. It yields about 25 bhp.

Neil E this is the best exhaust I heard so far for this sc 430. It sounds very similar to the new LC 500.

Most of the parts were sourced from various suppliers in the UK and the US. The kit came from Poland, suspension MeisteR and Lexus, ICE various in the UK, headers PPE in US, exhaust build MIJ, etc. You can find details in the thread on Lexus-World or LOC.

Lol Rich much appreciated high praise from the master. Can you believe the number of views for a little known SC430? Wish I'd done a better job on the vid.

Thanks Jim, I've stopped accounting for the cost properly but not including general servicing or running costs, the modifications total more than £14k It could be done well for a lot less than that as some things have been changed/upgraded 2 or 3 times. The custom built headers and hifi were excessive.

Thanks, the 3 way Focals via a big 3 DLS amp are pretty good but I don't think any You Tube recording would do them justice. You need to be in the car to appreciate the clarity and sound stage. The Alpine head unit has also now been upgraded from the unit in the video. Looks better but sounds just the same.

You’re definitely right about it no justice via TH-cam. Focal sounds really great. I’m trying to fine a Lexus SC430 such a great car and I love the way u did yours.. up up!

Thanks Thomas I only use it for Lexus clips. This was a good meet but it did rain a bit shortly after the quick walk around. Editing skills are poor, I should have turned the music down. Some nice cars to look at. This is the largest collection of SC430 models ever assembled in the UK beating the previous meeting of 7 at Bluewater.
