This how I cleaned the muck out of my air conditioning in my Landcruiser VDJ76 it had hardly any air flow before I cleaned it. I was very careful not to wet any electrical parts. I also let the car dry out in the sun for about 2 hours before I put it back together.

This is a video of how I remove and replace solid steel rivets with mushroom heads in older type chassis. I normally do this when I replace a front or rear crossmember, this chassis is not going to be used, it is only to show how I do this kind of work so I just roughly sprayed it with a black spray can to give an idea of how they look when painted. I do not recommend trying this, the tools hav...

This is a video of how I reassembled a door for a Toyota Landcruiser this door was badly damaged before restoration. I have used mostly genuine Toyota parts, restored parts and some aftermarket parts to complete this job. I zinc plated the nuts, bolts and screws as well. The door will be hard to shut for a week or so till the rubber shapes to the door opening.

I find your process interesting but I like it, I’m only commenting because I have 2 suggestions to maybe help you improve idk if you tried the one. 1 applying the oil with like a foam paint brush vs paper towels, 2 trying to source a cheap marine clear view screen for your spray booth.

@@toyopatrestorations1588I am certainly not sure, but did you season the pot with Olive oil?! Olive oil has a low smoke point. Due to its high smoke point, Canola oil is perfect for grilling, cooking, frying, and seasoning a cast iron skillet. Canola oil’s smoke point is approximately 450°F; season your pan with Canola oil at 470°F. "During the cast iron seasoning process, make sure to exceed the smoke point of your oil of choice by at least 20 degrees. This will allow the oil to polymerize and form the oil barrier that you are trying to achieve. If you do not season the skillet at a higher temperature than the smoke point you might end up with a sticky finish. We recommend you ❤use polyunsaturated oils and avoid rich, fatty oils."

I had to replace the elastomer cushions in a motorcycle clutch basket. The steel retaining plate was fixed with six 6mm solid rivets. Most people tap the holes and use screws but I didn't like how thin the alloy was after doing that. So I experimented with some rivets I made on the lathe and tested them on scrap metal before arriving at the ideal dimensions . The rivets had flat cylindrical machined heads with conical bases to match the clutch basket and I formed the head into perfect domes with the flat side of a ball peen hammer. Using the ball of the hammer was much more difficult to control and far less accurate.

Hey mate, great video, I recently came across this channel and find your videos very educational. When preparing the panels and body for paint do you bring all or them back to bare steel? If so what is your method for doing it do you use a sort of paint stripper or sandblasting? I heard sandblasting can cause warping in the panels, is this always the case. Cheers, Angus
