The stranger lifted his hand towards the sawed-off, caressing its handle. He was taunting us. I stared down onto the table, seemingly for eternity, admiring the details. Dried blood of past victims coated the surface, and scratches marked the age of it. I stared back up, weary-eyed, before muttering under the short breath I had- "Spare my brother, please, Mist-" Light shined down onto my frail, thin body. A loud shot reverberates through the dead room, followed by the incessant cries of ringing and bells. A baptism of blood and brain fall down onto my pale face, eyes dilated with fear- staring down my brother. His blood sprayed throughout the brick engravings, as his lifeless corpse fell down as one with the chair. I screamed; with what energy I had left- but it was silenced quickly by the ringing of my ears. A final thump echoed throughout my mind, as the world laid still. I locked view of my dead brother, hanging against the wall- soulless. As the man placed the shotgun down onto the table I rested on, I darted for the gun. The world came back, with its noise, as I raised the barrel of the sawed-off to the wicked stranger. His devilish smile faded, as he stared down the barrel I laid onto his head. I sat there, barrel pointed, thinking of all I had lost- before locking eyes with the man. "YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE!" The shot rang out, flash and debris spreading across the room. The sawed-off recoiled in my hands, as the face of the stranger became a garbled mess of red mass. Ringing penetrated my frail ears again, but it was welcomed. The room went silent, as I shakingly threw the shotgun onto the tiles of the floor. My breathing excessively increased, as I stared down onto the pale hands of mine- covered in two men's blood. They stayed there, shaking. What have I done?
