You also need to shield a lot more imo, get close and stay close (but that is with my chars, maybe you need to keep them away as a zoner? Try to find your winning gameplay against each character and opponent and follow that)

You ledgetrap very little, if you stay close to ledge you can cover many options and nair and fair at the right time are strong, also fair hits the ledge iirc if you fastball for the landing hitbox, if they usually roll you can up smash if they are high percent or grad if they are low percentage to throw offstage again, also neutral getup usually gets got by grab as neutral getup shield is a very strong option

Fsmash is pretty good at poking shields if you hit like two aerials before that, also the jab is so good because it kills at 90 at ledge Retreating fair is pretty good if someone is just attacking you and running in on you, also fair/bair have landing hitboxes iirc so you can use something like down tilt directly after to catch out of shield options Down tilt also hits ledgehang is someone waits on the ledge

What helped me get all my chars in elite is „what are they doing when I get them offstage?“ Many people try to doublejump back onstage, that is very punishable with fair or something similar and can easily lead to edgeguards due to then losing their doublejump, that’s why I usually throw my (sheik) bair out where they will be if they doublejump back to continue edgeguarding

Also you can do hit side b into up air up air fair iirc on low percent opponents
