Unconscious people dont want tea

At least in emergency response medical training, it is established that consent is implied when a person falls unconscious, thus allowing you to provide lifesaving care without needing the permission of the person to do so. So if we’re going off of those rules? 😂

It's a valid question. Morality would dictate that no, an unconscious person can not consent. HOWEVER, if you're like, really really good friends with them, you can do whateverthefuckyouwant 😈

I would argue that because its dnd, you can make the call of "they are willing if, were they awake, they would be ok with it". Basically, the players can give permission for their characters and the dm can give permission for npcs.

Your idea for how to handle PCs with < 0hp is a cool one .. but... . . Hit points isn't a representation of how much punishment you can take, it's a representation of luck and stamina to be able to avoid a lethal injury. Sword hits you for 10 hp damage and you have 5hp left ? You parry it but now your arm is too tired to parry the next one and it will hit you in the chest. Or something. The idea that you're going from full capacity and dead when going from 1 hp to 0 hp is a bit of a fallacy.

If I did that, we'd be here for a long time.
