Water pump replacement took a turn when the new pump cracked and failed the same as the original. 1984 Chevy S10 carburetor 2.8 V6 with 4 wheel drive. Haynes manual and other S10 owner’s TH-cam were my education for how to perform this. I’m no expert, clearly. I struggled to find videos covering my situation so I chose to share my experience for others. I welcome feedback.

What made you think it wss that? Mine will stay lit for about an hour or two and go out

@@chriscameron6811 In my situation it was the obvious problem. You may know this, but at the risk of overexplaining… here I go. For the fridge to cool in propane mode all you need is propane to get to the burner and for the burner to heat the cooling ”element”. Naturally, there’s a valve to allow gas to flow when you want it to and not flow when you don’t want it to. The thermocouple provides feedback to the valve to let you know if your flame has gone out. If your flame goes out the thermocouple gets cold and turns off the gas as a safety. When you’re trying to light the fridge, you’ll notice you have to hold down the button for gas to flow in order to get it initially lit. Once lit, you have to continue holding it for a few seconds until the thermal couple warms up, completes the feedback loop that it is lit and then you can let go of the gas button. In my situation, I had to hold down the gas button for an extremely long time like 10 minutes for before it would stay lit, and if I didn’t need the fridge working so badly, I would’ve given up long before.
