INSPECTAH TECH, What does the Security Chip, it "holds" what in place that extra code of doing what to the graphics, colors and spirits? Most arcade games don't have a Security Chips which I'm not sure why this Bubble Bobble has a Security Chip for what reasons?

Once you have tried De Oxit on corroded sockets and switches, you will never look back. Just be mindful De Oxit can damage Variable Resistors unless you get the De Oxit specifically made to be used for Variable resistors. APU 👁👍

Interesting video. I got two X Eye systems. One fully functioning. The other one only Genesis part works. No sign of life for the Sega Cd part. I tested the cd player unit. Fully ok. Hard to tell whats going bad with it. Any help please!?

Check all Capacitors near the video output, also check all capacitors in the oscillator "CRYSTAL" circuit, if any are more than 15% out of specs just replace them.. APU 👁👍

I did a similar bootleg and replaced the roms with the redux version. This is a redo of the bootleg that comes as close as possible to the original version.

Hello. I have a model 1. I just recaped the main board with all the surface mounts. I did this just as a precaution the system has always worked fine. Is it important to go through and replace all the other capacitors as well or wait until there's a problem.

I just got mine as an early Christmas gift and it does the same weird slick sound when the disc spins and it takes about 4 or 5 mins to load.

Fixed a few golden tees back in the day! This takes me back! Haven't checked in on you in a while. Great work! I still need to fix up that Mega CD unit with the missing ground pin on that adapter board that goes between the genesis and the mega CD.

TBH the board doesn't look that bad to me. I have brought back boards that were way worse than this one. Some of the ic's are toast, and those socket gotta go too, but that is maybe just a couple hours work. Seems to be working for the most part so I would definitely not write this one off, it's an original so worth the time....

Pin 1 is determined by the angled corner (45° angle) and not the 3 other 90° angle.

That is so awful. It's almost like you have to make a Sega CD Pickup Only to avoid damage in shipping. These things don't even like going upside down, let alone being bounced around for miles.
