FROG OR FINISH? So many WIPS...
Come on, it's confession time: how many do you have hidden around the house?
I have a lot of WIPs.
Some good, some bad, some ugly.
Shall I frog or finish them? Help me decide by telling me in the comments which should emigrate out of WIP City, either as FOs I can actually use, or to be destined for reincarnated life in stash.

I laughed out loud at your idea that you could rob a bank with your oversized arm holes on your sweater WIP 😂 I do think that sweater would still be a cute statement piece if you finished it. I think I would undo the bottom ribbing ( if possible) and turn it into a spit hem so the lower part of the sweater wouldnt feel so balloony. I agree that the yarn you used for it is gorgeous!

Fun to watch you deliberate 😁 At the end, you were very right, you should just knit the things you really want to, easier said than done though ☺️ Why not donate the projects, spare yarn and patterns as they are, to charity shops? Someone might have fun finishing them off, or reclaiming the yarn 🧶 And they’ll have no qualms about how much work went into it 😉🤣

Haha thanks, I don't really plan these videos and end up being silly and awkward, but at least you're seeing the real messy me 😅😅 It's so tricky in that way isn't it? Especially with so many patterns being accessible, gone are the days of folders in LYS (although I know they still have them!) That's a really good idea! I hadn't thought of that! I hope I don't start subconsciously looking for UFO in charity shops now 😅😅😅 xxx

In the US, we use the word mooch to describe someone who is basically draining resources without compensating properly. I have never heard the way you’re using it lol Noun and a verb. Ie. Bob is such a mooch.. he always eats my leftovers and he never chips in on the food bill. Jill has been mooching off her parents for so long.

Everything you've said applies to every knitter out there probably!!!! I am so guilty of seeing odd skeins and buying them because they are lovely, especially if i'm visiting or on holiday somewhere. I made a conscious effort last year to get my stash down as it was bothering me, i donated loads of yarn to various people that I didn't think I would use. What about doing blankets holding multiple strands of yarn together? I decided to try and limit my buying this year so like you bought a load before the 1st Jan🤣 If only we could knit faster !!!!!!!

Yay, you got to episode 2, I loved it! 😍 Totally hear you with the old school knitting patterns! I know some people prefer them, but I think the majority of them just haven’t tried anything different and are scared to. When you buy an indy pattern and see the time and effort that goes into them, it makes designers that work for yarn brands look super lazy. I saw someone talking about a Marie Wallin pattern that didn’t fit properly as it hadn’t been graded well. Fabulous colourwork, but just riding on that and not really caring how the bigger sizes look and fit 😞 That thing with the button band has always driven me mad! Wtaf? There are enough fabulous, well written patterns out there that I don’t think I’ll need to sew up ever again 😁 Though nothing like your feather and fan springs to mind 🤔 Rebecca Clow (creabea), Laura Penrose (Penrose knits) and Lizzy at hive knits are 3 uk based designers with podcasts and excellent, well written patterns I can highly recommend 🤩 Happy New Year! 🥳

Cat wee laundry solution: if you can access a product called "Nature's Miracle" in the UK, it works amazingly well as a laundry additive. There is a feline version and I can speak personally to its effectiveness in cases like this. If not, perhaps the staff at a pet store can offer an alternative. Hope to see you make another podcast of your knits. Knitting socks while watching. I do like to watch other knitting projects especially chatty enthusiastic knitters like me! Good luck with your delivery. Sooo exciting for you and your husband. X

Great first episode and love the colours! I'm currently knitting the Dappled stripes jumper with my odd single skein DK yarns. All the best when the newborn arrives.

Great podcast Hannah. I hope there will be more. There are few nice patterns using multicoloured stripes. My favourite at the moment is Stay up till dawn sweater by Veronika Lindberg (kutovakika). Wishing all the best with the baby. 🧸 I like your tiny knits. Cute. ❤

Thank you Zuzana 💕 I hope so too, I really enjoyed making it. I’ll definitely check out the Stay Up Until Dawn sweater- I have asked for her book for my birthday but we will see! Thank you! I will definitely bring her in next time we’re in London. I wish I could have come down in October half term but decided against it being 9months pg! Sending lots of love xx

Hannah I loved your podcast. Lovely seeing all your makes and stash. I love the vintage mohair that you bought. By now you might be busy labouring away. I pray that all goes well. You will find initially you will have time to knit whilst Bub is asleep. Enjoy because once they decide no more sleeps your world will change. Sending you positive vibes that all goes smoothly. Love from downunder. Xx❤️🌺

Thank you so much Lenore ❤ such lovely comments! She’s still making no moves to appear but who knows, I’ve got a feeling she’ll be quite late to be honest. We shall see! I’m hoping I still get a chance to knit, as you said most probably when she’s little, but I also know I won’t be able to take my eyes off her! Thanks again ❤
