Since David had a filming job in Kalmar the other day, we decided to make a mini vacation out of it, and I followed him. 🥰
After he finished work, we drove over to Öland to have dinner and spend the evening. It was the first time for both of us, and we fell in love with Sweden's 2nd largest island. 🏝️
We drove past endless poppy fields, saw many beautiful old mills along the road, went for a walk at the beach, and watched the sunset covering Borgholm Castle in the most beautiful golden light. ✨

This is a winter wonderland. It is the real Sweden for me, and not what happens in the suburbs of the big cities. I'm sure many more people will move there. I wish I was one of these ;-)

Such a tiny Christmas market, but I suppose it is probably just the right size for your village. How many people live in your town?
It really was tiny! 😊 The town we live in is called Åkersberga (45 mins northeast of Stockholm) and quite a big area belongs to it. In total there are 28.000 people living in Åkersberga.
