    Great job to the interviewer for bringing up the gender role concerns, feminism, and biological causes for something like schizophrenia. And kudos to him for pushing back a bit against Haley's simplistic explanation about women's "power" in the family. That was cringey to hear him discuss that.

    Jay Haley's suggestion that a means to measure outcomes of therapy is needed would expand evidence-based practices. His idea of measurement of competencies for licensure is also a concept that should be more developed towards improving outcomes for clients, although practicums may already serve this purpose.

    Concerning insight i agree sharing knowledge of what we do as therapist in 10 or fifteen sessions to give insight to families is ludicrous. We've spent 8-12 years learning to become experts in our field of therapy and some think we condensed that information down to few weeks or months and the client will understand or have some insight on what is going on. It doesn't sound or appear logical or reasonable.
