The interview with Measure - he said the work load was too much. He was expecting it to be a short run for him. But us fans loved his the potential slow sizzle with Carly. He said he was grateful for the opportunity, but never planned on it turning into a long run commitment. The massive amount or lines he had to memorize everyday was not what he signed on for. At first it was just a WSB Agent in cahoots with Valentin for the Pikeman story. When that vaporized & Val went into hiding (aka James Patrick Stewart's vacation) as per Anna's tipoff to Val. Now we had room for more Brennan - remember the prison scenes with Carly ? Then Boom History was made & we the fans loved them together. It got to be too much for him. He didn't see himself as a leading man at his tender age of 53. So, sadly he choose to leave now, before a romance with Carly can develop. If we the fans like McKenna as Brennan & see potential with Carly then it's thumbs up & run with it. If we are not feeling their connection, then I'd expect TPTB will wrap up the role of Brennan pretty quickly. The scene with Carly & new Brennan on the flight back to PC - I personally wasn't feeling it. But I will give it some time & hope for the best. His portrayal of Joey Buchannon on One Life to Live never really took. Cuz we the fans loved & were use to the previous portrayer. Let's give him a chance - ya never know. Lucas did make a great point about Carly being with another man she knows fully well that will keep many secrets from her. He warned her not to let history repeat itself. She seemed to take his words to heart. Many spots where the writers have an out for his character. Good luck in your future roles Charles Measure. I will miss our Sexy Silver Fox Aussie.
