I really like where you talk about design logic. For me, those answers are that M.A.S. (my very own Multipedal Assault System) are capable of using plasma weapons and use mostly thruster propulsion, though they have somewhat limited energy, and only the most skilled pilots engage in melee combat. Kind of like an Armored Core.

I'd like to start trying out building some mechs also and I have one question (to the lego community): what is the best way to acquire lego pieces for mech building? is it better to buy a bunch of existing mech sets and mix it all up or is there a better way to get individual pieces and blocks? love see more fanart, fan films, and stories involving gundam and star wars. ^^ Sure empire has massive resources and shields but ms and gundam can get rather op in series. Especailly in universal era since from one year war all ways to gundam unicorn technology advances greatly. Though still yet develop shields & gravity for ships.
