Porsche 924S Clutch slave cylinder and stainless steel brake line install

Out clutch pedal sucked and stuck to the floor. I’ve seen this before and knew it was a quick fix. Replaced the slave cylinder and we were good as new. Easy DIY job - easier for me with my lifts but you could do this with ramps - or in jack stands

What is that component/sensor attached to the cross member that you removed at the beginning of the video? Is has a hose leading in and a hose leading out. Recently purchased a '79 928 and can not figure out for the life of what that is.
@@mhlavenka I am not positive. I need to research it. I was just thing not to break anything off of it 😂🙏
Ha! If you figure it out please let me know. There are so many hoses in this thing I'm struggling to keep up with everything.

I have a small terminal on my fuel pump relay it is tiny with 1 green wire going to it is this the earth or feed ..

@@ballvice7861 So was this install 100% reversable? Did you just use 3m tape to hold the dectors onto the car?

@@HardwayLearning I was searching for “how to repair a plastic gas tank” and I came across 3 videos. Everything else looked completely wrong - harbor freight plastic welder - etc. this seemed like the most legit process to me.

@@nikoz4841 so far mine has been great. I just added another one to the Porsche 928. The thing I don’t like is it only has an internal microphone - and it’s aweful.

New one looks amazing! I can’t believe that fits in a single-height DIN slot, but here we are. By chance I was looking at vintage Pioneer KEX-23 radios on eBay yesterday, and reminiscing on my Dad’s one in his ‘79 Celica. I thought it was the bees-knees back then 😂 Just look where we are now - lol.
@@AlisonCassidy I installed one of these in the 924s I’m restoring and kind of got hooked on this little unit. The only downside is there is no remote - external microphone for hands free calling. There is one built into the unit. I will see if it’s any better in the 928 :)
Do you know if 7.4”Dx7.6”Wx7.1”H 6.5. Speaker would fit side by side o front of 14” 1409 orange dry marine box?

What did you cut the holes out on the cooler ? And what cooler would sug I get to fit 7.4”Dx7.6”Wx7.1”H speaker on the cooler or not a cooler what plastic box would fit thoses speaker side by side on front I do not want a apachie case Or pelican case?

@@omarrivas7108 great question - let me see if I can pull it off of Amazon. I bought the cooler off of Facebook marketplace. You have to find one that has enough depth in the lid to make it work.

2 questions, one; do you need the GPS antenna that comes with it? two; is the 3.5mm plug in the back for an external mic?
I’m using the GPS antenna. It works great. The one downside is there is no external mic input. :(

Bye bye torque... I pretty much believe that the engineers who designed the car and left it alone for the last 7 years.Know what they're doing Allah.These tuners don't really consider all of the facts like torque and reliability
Car preforms great - even after the install that took place a well over a year ago. It’s had to keep the car planted and NOT spin the wheels through the first 4 gears - so it’s for sure not lacking in Torque.

Euhm you do not have to release the E-brake to replace brake pads
You need to put the brakes into service mode - there’s a procedure for the QV. you do you - but I’m doing me.

Depends on the flights and how much you leverage your Avios points.
@@ballvice7861, thanks for the quick reply. So I will assume that it is around $6,000.00 in USD and be mentally prepared to save that much. The cost of plane tickets isn't set in stone. It depends on many variables. I flew coach from Atlanta to Phuket in 2021; it was $1,250.00 roundtrip. Last year, I did the same flight for business class at $6450.00. Now, I am looking at Phuket for $7,400.00 -business class. Go figure!
Can someone please try what happens when you plug in an Android? Could I use Android Auto if I plugged a AI box into the head unit and connected with my phone to the AI box?

You can get an adapter, it'll turn your radio into an android unit basically and you can perform wireless android auto. I did it on mine and it works
