Located at the crest of Loudoun Heights, Major Henry Cole's headquarters was a major objective for the Confederate raid. It was also where Mosby's attack began to go awry.

We stop at the site of the old River Road, near the mouth of Piney Run. It was here that Mosby and his men began their ascent to Loudoun Heights.

We begin our tour in the historic village of Woodgrove, where Rich describes the background of the raid that would culminate at Loudoun Heights.
