I always get so nervous queueing into roulettes on my tanks because I'm still learning the ARR dungeon layouts and gimmicks as a sprout. Your videos have been so helpful for my tankxiety!

Finally decided to start playing as Dark Knight after maining Paladin for so long and I got Aurum Vale twice during the levelling roulette. It was a bad run to say the least. Now that I have mentally prepared myself with this guide, Aurum Vale never shows up during duty roulette xD

so I'm a sprout (just started stb) leveling my first tank job and after a frankly gross roulette on this dungeon - didnt remember the path, the belated smilodons tripped me up - I looked up a guide bc I really wanna do it again and do it right, otherwise my anxiety is gonna get much worse and I genuinely am really enjoying tanking. Thanks for the guide. Did this dungeon as a sprout PLD not too long ago, and we wiped within seconds in the first room because I tried a wall to wall pull. Fortunately, I had some patient party members who told me what not to do, and we eventually made it through. Sought out a guide because I'm about to run this again to advance my GC rank. I can see why this dungeon is almost universally despised among my FC mates. Also, bad breath is...bad!

As someone who loves tanking in MMO's, but also someone with a bit of anxiety about performing poorly, or not knowing what I am doing, this type of guide is invaluable. Explained in simple terms, normalising mistakes, and not moving too fast as well. Also good to see some good habits that cross over all MMO's being used! Thanks!

even better.. MSQ now just straight up gives you a whole stack of Vesper Bay Aetheryte tickets now where using them will just teleport you to the entrance. they give so many over the course of a few MSQ quests when you start needing to go there a lot, that you basically never run out for the entire rest of the game lol

If you go left on the two skippable sections you can grab a treasure in each.

So pulling all of that at the end ain’t the right way to do it? Now I wonder if I pissed the healer off….

Rout on 1st boss hits for around 3k, if you see an undergeared person in the party you as a tank can easily step into it to split the damage and save their life. You can also run out of the big circle AoE and still run back in without the boss changing his positioning, since it has an animation recovery -- and this is irrelevant anyway, as the boss will turn to face random players regardless. I'd argue tanking him in the corner makes the fight WORSE for the party, as it gives less room to rotate around him to dodge the massive cone.

Silly question: I'm an absolute noob to the game, what is the easiest/quickest way to Limsa Bobimsa or whatever the hell it's called from Gridania? I'm current on my MSQ's, and just about current on my Job quests (that level 15 Conjurer quest is a real pill), but haven't seen any means to leave the region. I could have sworn they told me when I finished one of my recent quests that I unlocked the airship access, but they won't talk to me. Super confusing.

I'm new to healing and knowing what the tank is going to do is helpful. Thank you!

Your guides are _incredibly_ helpful. Not just for strategies on bosses, but also knowing exactly how much and exactly where you'll want to pull. I also never quite know if I should pop a defensive cooldown on a pull or if I'm gonna be fine, and the rules of thumb you give are exactly the kinda info I need. Of course, this dungeon has changed a lot since this video (it's become a lot more linear and you don't need to collect photocells), but the general ideas remain the same. I had never tanked this dungeon before, and your guide gave me the confidence to just do it. I got three commendations out of it, too!

Hey man, im glad you're still looking at making videos for FFXIV it is currently the most played mmo in the world! Some suggestions for videos would be making dungeon guides for every job for every dungeon. You will have something to do for quite some time if you do that lol. As someone coming back to the game I am noticing the dungeons have changed from what I remember. Doeing updated guides for dungeons so all the people coming into the game have the most up to date dungeon status in the guides that they are watching would be great. Your audio is clear and the recording good, and the voiceover that you do WHILE you are playing the dungeon is great. That is like the best type of guide in my opinion because it gives the thought process for the job not just the information. Thanks :)
