I like to dig with these systems and try different things and test them out to see exactly what can and can't be done . I was quite impressed with the method I used today

@@tamcat5938 it took me forever to learn i can drop a 2,000 lb on a command center but had to manually move the pod because jester would never target it. I do it all from pilot seat.

​@@TheCommo81this is what I was testing too . You can use a map marker also and turn off auto designate . Then the lantern slews to the precise map marker point then hit designate .worked on bridges too

Practice . Practice practice I've only just gotten the hang of it . The reason I sweep the wings back is because I feel as if with them forward you catch the air coming off the tanker more which in turn will throw you around a bit .lots of minimal movements is required .thanks for the sub you are welcome to join on any long refueling practice missions

As far as sound is concerned the only onea i likes were the squeal of the wheel brakes .jester coughing caught me offguard to i took the headset off and thought someone else was in the house

That was my take on it too thats why i adjusted tge settings

@@tamcat5938 No problem. I use nothing but VR so I don't bind anything to controls that I can easily click on.

I think so but not 100 percent .ive been doing a lot of iranian missions lately and they dont use data link so there might have been changes to it of late

Hi . For full screen there is an option within dcs settings to lauch the game full size. Although when you record on obs there is an option "fit to screen" a kind soul showed me this tio before also to set it to 1920×1080 in obs settings. Made a huge difference to my output if you have a disc id i can send you my settings

Anytime friend i am glad you enjoy.i was sort of nudged into trying vr .i had never tried it previous to dcs and was sort of expecting a huge 2d screeen i had no idea the level of detail .you know your not flying but try telling your brain and stomach that .i can never go back .if you ever find yourself on dcs your welcome to fly along with us anytime

Hi buddy Occulus quest 2 with a 3090.i recently returned a pimax 5k super. I felt for the level of cash it should habe been better but i returned it as it wasnt far enough ahead of the quest to merit the price

I cant speak for the reverb as i havent tried it yet but as far as im led to believe it is better than the quest 2 but only just . We always want the better one ofcourse but the 600 vs 250 .the price of the g2 may have come down but not sure .so best you weigh it up. Whats your system running?

@tamcat5938 i have the 3060 believe 8gb of vram, have 16gb ram prolly gona go buy 32 this weekend though processor is 13700f. i have a quest 2 but have heard it isnt worth it, the way you are talking though it sounds like i should try it out before i buy a whole new headset. edit: just having played the quest 2 i cant really imagine it rendering dcs all that well?

Man try it. The 3060 is a great card i used one about 2 years back for dcs vr and it was before multithread .id highly recommend trying it. Get an app called virtual desktop . Its waaay better than air link connection and link cable connection . If you want i will help you set up .every system differs but i been up and down the settings so many times i have a moderately decent idea of what may work
